This I indivual has hacked my phone and has taken over the usage of my phone. It began when I received a notification stating, if you are a Verizon user and have suffered from Coronavirus-19, I have a $1,000 check to mail to you. Just follow my prompts. Well, since then he has been sending messages to unknown ppl of mine. The messages must be either offensive or just not right to send b/c I've been receiving texts from these unknown pll Telling me to stop texting them and to stay away. Then, I received a message from the DMV stating that they were going to dispense $1,000 check due to the virus. When I looked deep into the text, I saw this phone number. He also responded to the lext from the DMV, but the response appeared to come from my phone number. He has also messed with my attempt to receive a loan. This is very frustrating and very illegal. I believe he is also messing with my email. This needs to stop. I even bought a new phone. But, he is into this one too. I know I should go to the police, but I don't want to give up my phone and then have to deal with a new number. But, I may have to do that. And of course he will stop messing with the phone if he is aware the local law enforcement has the phone. Well, I think that is about it. Thank you. Any advice on how to put a stop to this???
