Capital One sent me a letter dated October 21, 2022, stating this is a current number updated to my account from a previous home phone of 9712326300. The issue is I do not have a Capital One account of any kind or type. I called the customer service number listed on the letter for Capital One: 1-888-464-0727. My SSN is not the key to the account, only my address in Texas. The party tried to open an account online but failed. I am to call the Capital One fraud department this morning 1-888-420-9***. I made a mistake calling the above number because they are texting me with four-letter words chewing me out for questioning the letter from Capital One of so****ing I did not authorize nor set up. I won't shut them down.
