got a call 3 days ago told me they were from childhood leukemia foundation, told her i would do some research, good thing i did.. looked up the clf in phone book does not match....people beware..
this is a New Jersey organization who hires telemarketing companies to do thier fund raising (so, some of the money donated goes to pay the telemarketers) They are not registered with the Better Business Burea - and did not provide requested financial information when requested. I'd be cautious.
Sam, It is a "Professional Fundraiser Group" . If you donate any money to them they will call you every week claiming to be a different fundraiser group. Do not answer and do not give them a penny.
It is not a legitamate charity. Once you donate money to them they s**** calling you every week claiming to be a different charity and call themselves a "Professional Fundraiser". There is nothing professional about them. They will rip you off and keep calling back claiming to be yet another professional fundraiser group. I have reported them to the Federal Trade Commission. I have asked them to stop calling and they continue. Do not answer the phone and do not give them a dime.
