There was a call from this number for my son saying it was Pam from security with Commerce Bank with a reference number. I told him not to call it back and just check with the bank.

Commerce Bank customers - Do NOT answer the phone if you get a call from 866-203-1396. We let the message go to voicemail and it sounded very professional and legit. My husband called it back referencing the ID number they said. A***n, it sounded very professional. They asked for address - he gave number and street but not city and state. They didn't finish the info and wanted him to give city, state, zip code and hubby said no, not giving that - you should have all that info. But they didn't stop there... then they wanted his mother's maiden name! Hubby said "You should have this info if this is legit and I'll just go to the bank and talk with them." He ***g up and said he'd had his su****ions in the first place. I did a reverse phone number check on the number and found that others had had weird experiences also. I wrote Commerce Bank with a detailed account of this. What a shame that some people will fall for this stuff and be caught up in the web of deceit. And a reminder: NEVER, EVER click on a link sent to you unless you know the sender personally! Awareness and abstaining from curiosity is the best prevention from getting into a mess.
