Leave a CommentCalled stating my transfer was declined due to insufficient funds and I needed to call and make a payment within 24 business hours.
Said I had insufficient funds on account number ending in 2481. Had 2 days to respond before it was sent for processing. Used wrong year and on a debt already paid off. phone number to call back 866-212-2236.
My caller ID showed 1-469-410-7559. The robo mssg (on my home voicemail) mispronounced my name and said they're calling about an insufficient funds transaction; robo went on to say the last 4 digits of a credit card (supposedly MY credit card); robo said if I don't call 866-212-2236 in two days, there will be fees added, and the transaction is "flagged." No business name was mentioned in the voicemail mssg, so I'm guessing scammers are doing this, trying to scare someone into paying them.
I googled the number and someone had a recording of the exact call I got except using my Sons name.

THEY CALLED AND REFERENCED A FAMILY MEMBER (NOT AT MY ADDRESS) AND SAID HE WAS A PERSON OF INTEREST IN A MEDIATION ISSUE.
