They claim to be a collection service for the STATE of Michigan. They prompt you to key in your SSN and case numbers. If you get a call, report it to your own known case worker. Do not give out your SSN or other information to these scammers.

called and left a number and ref.number,but look the number up but couldn't find it.sounds like a scam to me.

Woke up to message on answer ma****e::Her name was Miss Hudson claimed to be from State of Michigan. Never told why she was callin. I'm****uming it may be for Driver Responsibility Fee's. For one thing.. I haven't paid on that for a couple years. On my most recent one not to mention the one I had a couple years prior and never once had a collection on that. They take that out your State Income Tax Return.. Left her business hours. M-F 8-5 Sat 8-7. If the hours dont match with what you were told it doesnt really matter, what agency from state of Michigan is open on a Sa****ay? Caller I.D never showed number or where it was comin from. Even if you get a call from the Michigan State Police it shows up on your caller I.D.Actual collection agencies, you know the ones that send you letters for months then actually call, show up on your caller I.D. I looked this number up on Yellowpages.com the number couldn't be found so i GOOGLED it and this is where i ended up along with 6 other pages complaining about it..

i think they are collecting a debt, like drivers resposibility fee

Said there were from State of Michigan and gave a phone number and reference number.  Sounds like a scam to me.

So call Mich Dept of Treasury call my home at 9pm wanting my SS Number and other personal info.  Business hours in USA is 8am to 5pm.  I don't want to be scamed by some no good.
