Austin Texas Dec 8th, 2008. Got the same green card in the mail. They have been calling and when I answer it's a recorded message. My ohone number is unlisted.....yet they still matched it to my mailing address??? Expired warranty on my car? Gee I'd hope so. It's a 1986 model!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These are the same people that would call us at all hours of the day and night. I reported them to the BBB. Do not deal with them. They are crooks. Google: vehicle warrenty division. We have told them not to call or send us anymore stuff months ago, and they still do.
I too received this green card and knew it outright that this is some bu***hit. Then I decided to google it and came across this forum. Even though I was a bit skeptical you guys****ured me that its indeed a fraud. Thanks for posting all your comments and educating everybody. I just hope everyone decides to check this on the internet before giving in to this scam.
well guys i have been a victim of a fraud. I gave the company all the information they wanted.i asked them why they wanted my VIN and not just the last 6 characters, they said they wanted them. So i gave in. I also made downpayment, but i called back to cancel everything , thats when we s****ed arguing. They didn't want to cancel while they said it was cancellable plus i wanted to reverse the payment i made. They said i should wait for 4 to 6 weeks to get it reversed. That was some********.Please i need help... i think they're going to go for my iden***y.I have already cancelled all the payments i made through my bank, I need help people...... My vin , my name, and other information was exposed.thanks.
I received the same green card and was very su****ious. My husband thought It was very urgent for me to see it. I couldn't understand why they didn't have my vin# because the dealership and the manufacturer has it. the warranty according to my contract is still good. I spoke to a man, then he put his supervisor on the phone who was supposingly gave me a good deal since part of my warranty has expired. I have 3- or 4 different warranties on my car including extended. I asked the guy which warranty was this? he said ***per to ***per. He got upset because I questioned him so much and told him he was not clear on which warranty he was speaking of. He said maam, no need to be rude, just **** up if you're honestly not interested, so I did. I was not giving any credit card information!!!!!!!!
I got this call on my cell phone today (can't see the number, but the same story). An automated message said my vehicle's warranty was about to expire, and to press 1 to speak to an agent or 2 to cancel coverage. I hit 1, thinking it was just spam, ready to ask them to take my name off their list. But out of curiosity, I asked the woman which vehicle she was speaking about. She said she couldn't pull up the information because the policy was listed as already expired, but if I would just give her the VIN and the mileage, she'd be able to help. I said, "no, that's what YOU tell ME so I know you're a legitimate company." She ***g up on me. (Oh, for the record: I don't own any vehicle.) Shysters.
got same card in the mail.
Got this card today. I'm sure it's a bunch of jokers who are doing this. I got a new car like 2 months ago and they send me this saying that my warranty expired. I hope no one buys into this.
Yes, I called the automobile company I had purchased my car from and they never heard of the Company who mailed me the green card concerning my automobile warranty. So, I contacted the Better Business Bureau in the area where the green card was mail from. The Better Business Bureau verified that the green card actually was mailed from an Insurance Company, and there were fourteen complaints about the company not following through with their contract.
i wish i would have read all this before. bc i did call, bc my warranty is about to expire. don't call, they try to record all your info and get a deposit, which they try to make over the phone. that's when i told him i wasn't interested. and the guy would not shut up. asking, "why all of a sudden did you c****e your mind. you NEED a warranty. i told him my cars almost new and my warranty isn't exactly up yet. **** tells me, "well your not gonna get health insurance just bc you have a heart attack." afterwhich, i called teamhonda to ask about my warranty, and he asked why. i told him about this national vehicle headquarters. his words were, "it's ****." if it's not from your dealership, don't buy into it.
i just got the same green card in the mail and would like to thank the people here to let me know this was a scam.eBcause my warranty on my car is about to expire but it is not with these people.
I got the same card yes****ay in the mail, after reading all your comments, I will just ignore it and scread the card in the garbage.
It's a scam. Somebody posted once that it is a legitimate company that uses scare tactics to get people to buy in. I would not trust my car insurance with people like them.Don't call or return those notices.
It's a scam... dig around other sites... people have been getting them. Apparantly they try to scare people into buying vehicle extended warranty from them... they do a good job at it. I hope their operation stops. I almost called back.
It's mail fraud. Report it here:http://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx
I just got the same card in the mail today. On the back side where items A through D are listed, D states "NOTIFICATION REGARDING VEHICLE PURCHASED A YEAR AND A HALF AGO". It has been less than a year since I purchased my current vehicle. Mine also says "SECOND NOTICE" but there was not a first notice. I only got one call from this phone number and I did not answer.
i got the same green card today. Is it a scam. i am confused. Had seen missed calls from this number several times... but have never answered. It says second notics.. but there was no first one.what could this be?
I've been getting calls from these people for monthes. I've now recieved a postcard in the mail from National Vehicle Headquarters, 770 Spirit of St. Louis Blvd., Chesterfield, MO 63005. The post card is green. It says Second Notice, and on the next line it says NOTICE: Vehicle Warranty Expiration. Then there are 3 check boxes one says Return Receipt Required, The next says Immediate Response Required with a check in the box checked, and the last says Singature Required. On the sending address above my name it says *************AUTO**3-Digit 852 then underneath that it has my name and address. There is a thick black line at the bottom of the card and underneath it it says, on the left hand side, VRA Form 8622-A, on the far right hand side it says, RLPCV8-3582-T012On the back it says Addressee Instructions:Notification Detail: The Factory Warranty on your vehicle has expired or may be expiring soon. Call toll free 1-866-225-7135 today to find out how you can extend your coverage.Instructions: Gather information for Items C and D confirming your current milage and correct VIN. Retain this card and have it available when calling the toll free number below. Respond to 1-866-225-7135.The next column says.A. Full Name (and it has my first and last name), B. Tracking Number 802-143-1018.C. Vin # / Current Mileage RequiredD. Notification Regarding Vehicle Purchased a year and a half ago.Urgent Notice: Call 1-866-225-7135.Have mileage and VIN available at time of call.Tracking number: 802-143-1018If you already paid for extended coverage, disregard this notice.Response required on or before February 29.Open Monday - Friday 8am to 7pm Central and Sa****ay 9am - 2pm Central. That is everything that is on the card. They don't indicate what car they are refering to.This is a scam. If the company where you buy your were going to contact you they would not ask you to provide your VIN over the phone and they would be more specific as to which vehicle they were refering to.
called me twice, saying "vehicle manufacturer warranty expired", need vin#/current mileage regarding vehicle purchased last year(2007). and today we got a postcard from them.
