These people call from this number claiming to work for Alliance One, a collections agency. They somehow got their hands on records from PSE&G saying our business account was sent to collections. I had spoken to our rep at PSE&G the day before so I knew this wasn't correct. I asked that the person provide me with the PSE&G account # and balance due on the account. They gave me a completely different account # and the balance was off by a thousand dollars. When I confronted the woman about this discrepancy she went on to say the account #s normally vary. They had our bank account and routing # without my ever providing her this information and said that they will close out our account and process through a $925 charge on our account. I called back the number moments later and providing another falsified account number to throw them off and then notified the bank of this fraud activity. No charge was made but company did call back three times to continue harassing us for payment.
