Leave a CommentYeah right SMARTIE! free of charge but make sure to call them not on your cellphone but landline phone cuz im sure regular minutes on your cellphone will be used up. Or if u have unlimited weeknights or unlimited weekends make sure to call them at that specific ti*****ey dont give much information about their instructions doesnt it? Its misleading adverti*****t should be stopped!
I am dealing with same thing with rogers right now. I have no idea that a survey from the rogers website that i typed my number in will s**** sending me txt messages that they call trivia questions and replying or not to this trivia questions will cost me $2 per txt. I got third party charge for $32 ***! and there is no way to reverse it cuz they said i sign up for it. A MISLEADING ADVERTI*****T!!! LIARS, PARASITES, SCAM!!!! thats all what it is SMARTIE!!!!
Got 3 unsolicited texts from 1-866-257-4586, charged $15 on my Rogers business account. Even through I never signed up for any such service, Rogers says there is no way for them to stop such texts. Apparently someone figured out how to bill my cell number and now no-one seems to be able to stop this nonsense! Complete bu***hit. Call your MP and complain, we need much stronger customer legislation to protect consumers from such fraud.
ContactShould you require further****istance please send an email to: info.ca@s****2thrill.com (Please do not forget to mention your mobile number in your email!). You can also call our helpline: 1-866-670-0126 (free of charge, 24hrs).
Is someone else able to enter my mobile number on your webpage and subscribe me?No. In order for your mobile number to be registered to our service, a multi-step registration process must be completed via our webpage, using your mobile handset. If someone enters your mobile number on our webpage (either accidentally or purposefully); it is not possible for this person to register your mobile number to our service without being in possession of your mobile handset.Once a mobile number has been entered on our webpage, we send out a FREE text message to that particular mobile number. This free text message is designed to ensure the mobile number entered on our webpage is truly a valid mobile number and not a fake. Most importantly, in this free text message, we include a unique 4-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) which is specific to that mobile number only. To register a mobile number to our service, we must receive, on our webpage, only the 4-digit PIN which was sent to the mobile number in the free text message. Any other number will be not recognized and no registration will be completed. This PIN must be entered before closing the webpage or clicking away from the webpage. Once someone has clicked away or closed the window, the PIN will instantly become invalid and useless. Therefore, quite simply, if the person entering your mobile number on our webpage DOES NOT have access to your mobile handset to open the free text message with the PIN, then no registration of your mobile number will ever be completed.

THEY CHARGED ME LIKE 50 BUCKS FOR THIS S**T,ITS TO LATE FOR ME TO CALL THEMM BUT IM GOING TO CALL THEM! AND I NEEDD TO STOP THESE TEXTS!!!
I had the same problem. I called Rogers to complain about this problem but all they could do is to waive half of the charges. I was charged 64$ (32+32) from these premium text msges. They said that you will need to text STOP back to these msges but simply call the 1866# and you can choose to stop the subscriptions with the auto dial tone. From the automated recording, just follow the instructions such as pressing #1 for English service and then press 1 to cancel your subscription followed by entering your 10 digit cell phone number that you wish to cancel your subscription. It then claims that they will send you a text msg 'free of charge' to confirm your cancellation within 2 business days. I just did this momentarily so I cannot confirm whether or not all these worked.
I am also receiving a series of text messages which I have never answered. But to my surprise ,my cell phone provider has charged me a bill of 10$ for 5 messages. It looks like that when I entered my cell phone no. on Free Iphone contest from apple stores email.
i was charged too, and fido is not responsible, just type stop and reply to the number you get the txt from.Do not expect fido to re-imburse you, its not their responsibility.
same charge appeared on my phone bill. I spoke to people at this number and they consider that they have a legitimate business... "government approved" Let's see if we can spread the word so they lose their customers.Rogers reversed my charges as a one time exception and they also directed me to www.crts.gc.ca where the service providers are already trying to stop these "premium messaging". Rogers also directed me to crtc.gc.ca where there is already a discussion to legaly try and stop this types of activity.offer your support on this site.
I found my son's phone bill had the charge too. I will call fido tomorrow to find out what's happening? Is there any ways to avoid the text?
my bill is 400.00 rogers said my son went online and put in his cell phone number they text him horoscopes, s....it
GOT A $63 CHARGE ON MY ROGERS BILL FOR "866" TEXT MESSAGES. ROGERS SAYS IT'S OUT OF THEIR CONTROL CAUSE THE "866" NUMBER IS A "3RD PARTY". THEN WHY THE***** IS IT ON MY ROGERS BILL? ALL PHONE COMPANIES ARE SCAMMERS!
Just happened to me, I pay for my mom's cell bill; she's a pensioner and did sign up for it but had no clue that there was a charge. She thought that she was just entering a draw for a $500 Home Depot gift card. They put that 1866# on your bill so you can call and cancel the service. Aperently, they can't cancel it for you. So I called Rogers, first rep from Rogers would not reverse the charges and was totally rude but directed me to the 1866#, and then I called back later and requested them to cancel my phone. They reversed the charges immediately! www.S****2thrill.com is a total scam! Even if you did sign up you've got no clue about the cost until you get your next bill and by then you've got one month of charges! $38 in my case. I'm just glad that I looked at the bill because there are times when I don't look for a couple of months.I hate parasites!Good luck all
Fido tried to get us to pay for the texts. We said we would not and asked to speak to the boss. Finally they agreed to strike it from our bill right then and there. Don't give in. They will try to make you pay but keep pressing!
FIDO ****S!!!!!!!***.....they s****ed charged for like over $100!!
Ive got the same thing too. I dont reply to any msgs they've sent me and FIDO still billed me for those msgs.
call this number 18662574586, make sure its not your phonethen say "******* Y O U" to them
It s****s off by you receiving a text msg with a question from 88588 (i think). Now all of the sudden my Fido bills comes & $2 a msg for $16 of so****ing I have no control over. DON'T ANSWER ANY QUESTION BY TEXT TO ANYONE YOU DON'T KNOW OR COMING FROM A FUNNY NUMBER. ONCE YOU DO THERE'S NO TURNING BACK. Just call that 1-866-257-4586 from the same cell phone & you automatically get a text back that the texts have stopped. But i think you should still log a complaint with Fido. Going to do that now...read a lot of reviews saying Fido refuses to reverse those charges so maybe waiting to get thru is a waste of time!
