Leave a CommentI received same phone call as KDS (above) regarding federal student loans. Same reference number.
The person or recording voice left this information (paraphrased): "My name is De*** Baker. Call 866-306-8778 regarding your federal student loan. Your reference number is 090902. There are new payment options." The phone that was called is a house phone and it has no caller id so I have no way to identify the calling number. Also, I never had a student loan and I am not responsible for anyone who has had a loan. The call happens periodically for several months. This house phone is registered as a Do Not Call number.
