Leave a CommentSomeone called the Carsafe folks "*****s" for excluding stuff about the acr they were supposedly gonna warranty. *****s? Eh? The real *****s are the folks who fall for offerings from the folks like Carsafe!
I just received a mailer as well. The funny thing is that it was for a make of vehicle that I traded in on another in October of 2006! I guess these guys are spending their investors money on severely outdated data (we call that stealing in the rest of the country). This one came from Ft. Lauderdale, FL - Permit #2013. If you want an extended warranty, wouldn't it be better to get one on a car that you own?
I got a letter last year I called and bought a contract, they just replaced the transmission in my truck at my Chevy dealership it would have been $4300 so****ing, even my dealership said that they sold the same policy and the price i paid was right, not everything is a scam
Please tell me if thia is a scam. I think I been scam.
Received a letter from Carsafe,,,looks to be a scam,,,Ft. Lauderdale FL,,,PERMIT NO.2013,,,NICE TRY

update: Filed a claim with St. Louis BBB and with USPS Fraud Complaint. As of 11/19/09, AG Foster won a lawsuit a***nst 6 companies (or divisions of one company) all doing exactly the same practice - deceptive solicitation and marketing. See site: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_7992/is_20091113/ai_n42111716/ <<< Suit a***nst National Dealer Warranty for doing the same thing. I will be contacting the AG tomorrow to reopen my complaint and have CarSafe investigated and sued as well.Check this out: The ****** schmo they conned into providing the call center.http://www.battscom.net/Brochures/White%20Pap ... %20study_v2.pdf
It's a scam. Do not fall for it!!I already went after Dealer Warrenties aka National Dealer Warranenties, et al in St. Louis and so did the Attorney General. :-) Looks like this s*** oufit (carsafe) has stepped in to take their place. No worries, I'll pursue a***n with BBB and AG.BBB AccreditationThis business is not a BBB Accredited Business.Back to topBBB RatingBased on BBB files, this business has a BBB Rating of D- on a scale from A+ to F.Reasons for this rating include:* Length of time business has been operating.* 53 complaints filed a***nst business* Business has failed to resolve underlying cause(s) of a pattern of complaints.Click here for an explanation of BBB RatingsThe BBB has received numerous complaints regarding this company that sells extended service contracts. Aah, the cheese***** have a name!!! Check out http://www.battscom.net/Brochures/White%20Pap ... %20study_v2.pdf . It is a customer case study for a telecommunications company who provided the call center for "Dealer Preferred Warranties". It turns out the proprietors are Mark Eckman and Kurt Niemackl of Shawnee, KS . I love the Internet!
Received a mailer, presorted, from Permit no 1361, St. Louis MO. All this official looking mumbo-jumbo. It must be a scam, as there is no company name, email address, or real snail mail address any where in the "letter". It only said to call 866-364-3336. What a waste of carbon (those miscreants who own this cheesy outfit)!
Received one of these too--definately a scam!
Also received one of these letters--definately a SCAM!
This mail came from Dealer Preferred, Ft. Lauderdale, FL (US Postage Permit No. 2013). The mail does not have any info on what model car they are writing about. I have 3 cars of similar make. I try to call several times and each time found no answer. So, ******!! I will never do business with this ****** people.
866-364-3336 - Like everyone else, received an official looking letter in the mail today, claiming it was from General Motors.Came from: Presorted Standard Mail U.S. Postage Paid St. Louis, MO Permit No. 1361On the front, it states:"REQUEST FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION - TIME SENSITIVE MATERIAL ENCLOSED - WARNING; $2000 FINE, 5 YEARS IMPRISONMENT, OR BOTH FOR ANY PERSON INTERFERING OR OBSTRUCTING WITH DELIVERY OF THIS LETTER. U.S. MAIL TTT.18 U.S. CODE"Inside it states:"CALL 866-364-3336 TO EXTEND YOUR VEHICLE'S COVERAGE"Amazingly, it has NO mention of which PARTICULAR vehicle they are referring to... *****s.Reporting this to the BBB of St. Louis, MO, as well as to the U.S. Postal Service Fraud Division. Also, the USPS HAS to release the info on who owns Permit No. 1361, if requisitioned in writing and a complaint is filed a***nst said organization, which I WILL be doing.I HIGHLY suggest that others do EXACTLY the same IMMEDIATELY.The only way to get a SCAMMER to stop, is to Report them each time.NEVER just throw Junk/Scam mail away. Research it & Report it.
They claim to be a legitimate warranty company. The representatives answer as DPW (Dealer Preferred Warranty) I actually fell for their scam. I have had my vehicle at a dealership repair shop for over 2 weeks. Their hold up tactics went from needing to verify my service receipts and make sure all my oil c****es hafe been done to verifying my mileage on my vehicle. They state there is a descripiency with my mileage at the time of my warranty purchase. Just like I mentioned to them there is no descripiency on the premiums they have taken.
Is this a legitimate report sight?Got a mailer--- US Postage Paid, St Louis MO Permit #4phone # 3336 all the prefixes match.
They claim to be a legitimate warranty company connected to dealers nationwide. Nevertheless, the mailer I got in the mail was made to look like it was from the auto manufacturer, as a warranty expiration notice and an offer to "extend" the warranty - very deceptive. I wouldn't give these folks business on the matter of principle.
This number is a real line to "Dealer Preferred Warranties" - Liam is at extension 143. See the whocallsme.com post regarding 8048361794 - same bunch of ****s.
