800 Service Was on caller ID yes****ay.Called earlier tonight but ***g up after two rings.
Got the 30 day free from humane society benefit, and then they called and emailed. When a live person called, I told them to take me off their list and they did, tho I occassionally still get an email, i have put them on spam filter.Great new pet, another annoying pinger for my money.
I adopted a dog and the shelter gave me 1 month free ... now Shelter Care is calling for me to extend the policy.
I adopted a cat and now they are bothering me also....
Called my cell phone, didn't leave a message.
I adopted a cat a few weeks ago, activated the free 30-day insurance, and now I'm getting calls every other day from Shelter Care. Ugh! I haven't answered it to see what they want. I check here before I answer ANY phone number I don't recognize! =)
I didn't answer but tracked the number to sheltercare.com, a pet insurance company. Called after I adopted a pet from Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville.
I adopted a dog, and the shelter gave me 30 days free insurance. On the second day, our dor got very sick. I policy had numerous exclusions, and the dogs illness was not covered, so I shelled out many ***dreds and ***dreds of dollars to the vet to cure the dog. He is ok now, but why would I want to buy a pricey monthly insurance program if they have exclusions. Get real, how would you like to go to your doctor, and have him tell you that your virus is on the excluded list, and you have to pay fully out of pocket, but they will cut you a deal on the medicine......what a waste of money. Take the monthly cash you would spend on a policy, and actually put it into a seperate bank account. When your pet needs attention, pay the bill from your account. If its so****ing catastrophic, the insurance will probably not pay for it anyway. These people are getting wealthy on illnesses.
This number is for ShelterCare insurance. You must have activated an insurance policy with your cats (or they had one through the agency you adopted from). They've been calling me to renew my policy.
They've called me at least once every 2 weeks since I adopted a cat. It's a little bit frustrating that I was never given an option to opt out of receiving phone calls from them. Especially when I'm on a state do not call list.
