Caller calls my mothers house (I lived there 10 years ago when I was 20) and claims that I am facing civil and criminal charges and that she is also a person of interest and that I need to call and give a "voluntary statement." Caller identifies himself as Detective Henry Hill.

The following was sent by my sister in law about my adult stepson. Impersonating a police officer is a felony. I have redacted the names to avoid further entanglement: Hey we got a call from some type of detective looking for ****. Caller said he was from NY?????? Name was Henry Hill, Case #145823 and his number is 866 397 1612. Not sure what this is about but figured you would want to know. Hope **** has not gotten himself in a bunch of trouble.

This is most likely a debt collector who likes to call him self Investigator Shawn Ryan. He keeps calling me to find my ex-wife, however refuses to identify who he works for. Since I am a REAL Police officer, please note that any civil or criminal actions must be implemented through a local court and a notice must be served in person to pertaining to any action. Law enforcement and civil courts do not use toll free numbers, at least not in Texas. I'm sending this out because I intend to track down "Investigator Ryan" and educate him on the legal system, but all persons should know they do not have to stress over such an abusive person. True debt collectors use the mail and will always identify who they are when asked. And just a final note, valid statements for any pending legal case, civil or criminal, can not be taken over the phone.

Call received as an unknown number so I did not answer it. The message received indicated that the man leaving the message had just spoke with the sheriffs department and there is a civil and criminal action a***nst me and that I need to contact him and that he office would prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. If this has happened to you, please file a complaint. Maybe we can get this company to stop harrassing other people with such extreme lies.

My enighbor recieved a call for me claiming they were an investigator. We recently had a house fire so I was quick to call back. When I called this so called investigator told me I was being sued with both a civil and a criminal case. He said I could be facing jail time and I could have all my****ets seized because of a case filed a***nst me by a debnt collector. After further reseach - this company harr***** people constantly for no confirmed reason. Beware. This company is not ligitimate at all and they go around harrassing people, their families and thier neighbors.
