Leave a Commentsaid I was a contact for a relative,that it was an extreme urgency for them to contact them, and gave a file number. But would not tell me what kind of business they were and couldn't give any details because of the person's privacy.
Called my uncle and grandmother sayig they were calling because of some incomplete paperwork, then said they were calling due to some legal matters.
Message left on our ma****e said "Ms. Furman from CR****oc needed to contact **X or their registered representative regarding file **X ASAP at 866-442-2693. When we called the number Ellie answered and could not tell us why they wanted to contact that person other than it was regarding a "legal issue" the person MAY NOT EVEN KNOW ABOUT. When asked if this was a collection agency she said she could not give any further information. When pressed to say who they were and what exactly they wanted she ***g up on us. They had personal information on the person (names, age, previous address), so I suspect it was either a collection agency or some type of scam. We couldn't find a legitimate listing for CR****ociates in the online directories.
