attempt to have you call back to get credit card info for a non existent account. maybe phishing to see who you are or if your phone number is valid
Received voicemail claiming to be from fraud department of MasterCard World (we don't have a MasterCard). Tried to call number back and it was disconnected (8664674704). Obviously a scam to steal credit card numbers.
Clearly a scam to get your credit card info. They claim they are a fraud division of MasterCard.
Same here as well, automated message about a Barclay MasterCard that I do not have, when I called the number there is no way to reach customer service, the system insists that you enter a card number.
Scam
They called and left a message saying "I have an important message about your MasterCard Account." I don't have a MasterCard
Same as the others. A recorded message about a compromised MC World account that I don't have.
I received a call saying my MasterCard Worldcard had been compromised. I don't have a MC Worldcard, probably a phishing scam
I received a call saying my credit card had been comprimised and that I should call back. I called back and they asked for my card number. I then called the number on my credit card, and they told me that this was a phishing scam.
Left automated voicemail message identifying self as Barclay Card, letting me know my access has been restricted, and asking me to call back at this # or go to their website, http://www.barclaycard.com/. This is a legitimate website, but I don't have a card from them. So probably a wrong #. Since this is a legitimate company—although one I don't do business with—I don't consider it spam.
