I have a charge on my credit card from Link Group for $9.45. Didn't recognize it and called the number given with the charge -

Received charge for $9.40 on my Visa. Phone number is out of service. Had to cancel credit card.

Yes, the same thing happened to me...I got charged $9.45 and I don't even know what I did to get this charge? What the heck is link group?? The only place where this card is used is ebay and to support a christian music station...this is insane and totally uncalled for

I didn't receive a call, they just took $9.45 from my account. I called the number listed on my bank statement and the recording says the number has been disabled. I have no idea how these people got access to my debit card. My bank says I will have to file a dispute before I can get any money back.

My debit card was charged $9.35 on 9/23/08. I have no idea how they stole my account number. Bank is looking into it, in the mean time what a pain, had to cancel my debit card. Makes you afraid to have any credit or debit cards.

called and then charged my credit card 9.40 without authorization. We did not answer the phone and never gave them credit card info. filed complaints with FTC, IL and FL Atty generals, canceled credit card and account,filed fraud report, and placed 90 day credit watch on all my accounts.

My card charged $9.40 on 8-25-08. I only just noticed it due to another unknown charge called:EA WEB DESIGNS 434-87836-09 09/13EA WEB DE . They charged me $11.49 And is that supposed to be some kind of phone no.? I'm sure not going to spent money on a phone call! I'm already out $11.49 + $9.40 . That's ****** !!!!!!!

I just checked my CitiBank account online. There was a 9-16 $9.45 charge labeled "LINK GROUP 8664890369 FL". I called the number and got the "mailbox full" message. I called CitiBank. They removed the charge with little fanfare and "will investigate." I think the amount is so small that keeping me as a customer is not worth their challenging my claim. I live in SoCal and returned from a trip to Orlando on Aug 29, but it think it's just a coincidence. Has anyone else with this charge been to Florida lately?

A charged of $9.45 , company Link Group. Got the number from the credit card company to call Link Group. I have called several several times all I get is a recording ....at the end of recording it said to leave your name, phone number and brief message. You can't mailbox is FULL!!! According to my credit card company , they can't do anything until I get ahold of them first. How am I suppose to get ahold of them when you get a recording and mail box is full each time I call.

They just charged my card as well. I'm amazed this group of people is still getting away with this after 3+ months of fraudulent charges. If you want to give them a piece of your mind, just hit "0" during the opening recording. You will get the operators inbox where you can leave a message.

Same thing as everybody else... $9.40 charge a few days ago. When I called bank to dispute the charge they called the 866 number and also received the full mailbox. They say they will credit my account in the next 48 hours.

Well I can't have the same problem without letting my two cents worth be known. I too have a $9.45 charge on my debit card. I just found it while checking my statement online. It is from "Link Group". It is out of Fl. and I have NO IDEA who, what, when or where it came from. I will dispute it with the bank tomorrow. Maybe they think it is such a small amount that no one will complain. That would almost buy a gallon of gas!

Link Group 866-489-0369 FL debited my bank account for $9.40 on 7/15/08. I don't know what this charge was for and did not authorize it. Now I have to close out my debit card and get a new account number. When you call their number the message says to leave a message but their mailbox is full and you are told to call back. Beware of these crooks!!!

Like most people I was charged $9.45. The debit card company called me immediately and canceled my card. Following procedure I called Link Group and got a full mailbox. The bank is reimbursing me. I am surprised that this scam has lasted this long without a phone number c****e.

No phone call made by them to us or by us to them, 9.35 CC charge, contacted by fraud unit at CC company asking whether we made this charge (and others). No previous known dealing with the Link Group selling electronics etc. out of Orlando FL. Ok, so is it time to go on a cash not CC basis?

I received a call from some one wanting to conduct a survey about meat. It took 1 minute and no financial information was exc****ed. The following day I get the $9.40 boot. ****ed, I will try everything in my resources to nail these *****s.

I had a $9.40 charge on my checking account from Link Group in Florida. I called my bank (5/3 Bank) and they want me to file a dispute that will take 10 days to investigate. The charge overdrew my account and bounced a legit payment. I have been charge $66 in overdraft fees and another $36 in daily fees for having an account in the negative. I was in the process of closing the account when this happened and only had $1 in the account when this happened. The bank does not seem to care that there is fraud happening on my account.

I received the same charge this morning on my visa check account. Reported the fraud and had my account number c****ed. I'm trying to think back on my actions and find the hole that allowed this. Wondering if its through a purchase through Nintendo for Wii points made through the Wii console. Anyone else make such a purchase leading up to this strange charger appearing?

These people charged $9.45 to my credit card on 6/20/08. The bank credited it back, but I did not authorize this charge. When you try to call the 866 number, all you get is a msg that the mail box is full.
