Leave a CommentThis joker - Sam Key - left a message informing me that it was 'imperative' I phone him back immediately given that I'm a finalist for either an Explorer or Navigator. I'm reporting this number as well given that I've been on the DNC list for several years. I hope he calls back a***n - as I've got some choice words for him.
P***nix, AZ. 8/28/08. Call me the Village Idiot, but I called “Sam” back to see what this was all about. “Sam” was conveniently on a “management conference call” so I spoke with his****istant “Ted” instead. “Ted” said that I’m a “guaranteed winner” of one of the four prizes: 1. Lincoln Navigator/Ford Explorer, 2. $2,500 cashiers check, 3. round-trip ticket, or 4. 32” tv. All I had to do was attend a 90 minute seminar in Gilbert, AZ 6pm on 8/29/08 at some random address. The seminar is being given by “Star Club” an “entertainment and travel company.” But, don’t bother looking them up on the internet, because “Ted” says their website is “still under construction.” He informed me that “you can’t just build a website overnight you know.” Oh yes, Ted also told me that I need to bring either a passport, credit card or check book for ID. Gee, maybe I should make it easier on them and just give them my cash. I wish someone could figure out a way to scam the scammer…
Message says his name is Sam Key and that I'm a finalist in a sweepstakes I've entered for a Ford Explorer or Lincoln Navigator, and that it would be in my best interest to call him back at this number, ext. 4786. Don't remember entering any contest and I'm on the DO NOT CALL list.
Sam Key said I was a finalist for a Ford Explorer or Lincoln Navigator and should call him immediately.
Received call at 4:00 pm on Sa****ay from Sam Key, advising that my wife and I either won an Escalade, $2,500.00 in cash, Hawaii trip for two, or a 32 inch Flat Screen Television. Both of us had to appear at some building located in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale, Florida -- 6400 N. Andrews Avenue to be exact, on Sunday, either at 11am or 3pm -- but both my wife and I had to attend and bring two forms of I.D. -- DL/Credit Card, since the prize would be considered a marital****et. Advised that he was acting on behalf of a company, Travel Partners. Did not recall whether we entered a sweepstakes or not. Did research on the web and found out that "Sam" has been very busy indeed. Did not return call. Do not plan on attending "giveaway".
I got the same called from Sam Key saying that my mane was finalist drawing for an SUV. This is a Bogus.
Got a call today from "Sam Key" saying I was a finalist in a drawing for an SUV and other prizes. When I called back I got a different guy named Dave. Dave told me "Sam Key" was his "assistant." All sounds legit until you get to the details. Dave told me the drawing was to promote the opening of a new office for a company called "Event Planners," an event and discount travel company. It would be easy to mistake this as the real deal. Thankfully, I did my homework. Total scam.
Was called at about 3:45pm and said I was a finalist in a contest to win a Ford Explorer or Lincoln Navigator. I of course never entered in such a contest.
Sam Key called to leave a message that it was important to call him back. His recorded message was unable to cope with my recorded message, so had to "google" to find out about the Ford Explorer... Is this the only way they can get rid of them with current oil price? I am on DO NOT CALL list
Received a call about winning a Ford Explorer or Lincoln Navigator on June 26, 2008. Never entered a contest for this. Said they were putting my name in as a finalist and car would be at Waldorf, MD where I put an application in, which I did not. Bet this is a scam. Beware of this number - said I would be notified in 72 hours if I was a winner.
Same as all others listed here. Was told I was a finalist for SUV in a contest that I had entered. I never never enter contests. We are on DO NOT CALL list. Needless to say, I will not call the number back.
I too received a call from "Sam Key" telling me that I had won a Ford explorer and that it was imperative that I call him back at this number, ext. 4786, and that it would be in my best interest to do so. Considering that I have not entered any type of drawing, I was wondering what this was. Will NOT call this guy back. Any others???
Rec'd call from no. 312-674-***3 based out of Chicago. I believe the carrier is Broadway communications llc. was told to call back this no. 866.598.3512 x4786 name given Sam Key. Said I won a car, I have been on the DNC list for 4 years. I am filing a complaint today.
Message says his name is Sam Key and that I'm a finalist in Sweepstakes I've entered for a Ford Explorer or Lincoln Navigator, and that it would be in my best interest to call him back at this number, ext. 4786. I didn't enter any sweepstakes, and I'm on the DO NOT CALL list.
The message on my answering ma****e (twice) said I won a "major prize" because I entered a contest to win a Navigator or Explorer and it "would be in my best interests to call them back," but I haven't entered any such contest. The message was left by a male voice saying he was Sam Key at extension 4786.
