Leave a CommentCalled twice left no message I have no student loan my chasten are grown. They really need to stop
This was about my sons student loan. I'm ****ed because my ex husband is responsible for his college bills ordered by the courts. So I gave them my ex husbands phone number. Rat bast#*d
Leaves voicemail looking for someone else. I have had my number for only 6 months and they will not remove the number
SAC for sallie mae. I understand what the representative commented earlier but im still sick of these people calling back from different numbers every other day.
Called about a student loan for a friend of mine. I told them that my friend never had this number but, they refused to take my number off the list. Ridiculous.
Keeps calling about a student loan. I have never had a student loan.
Sallie mae
They have been calling my number for six months looking for someone I don't know
They have been calling several times a day looking for someone who I am not related to asking for information reguarding payment of their student loans. I am too old and MY GROWN children are out of college and do not have any debt!!!
We get called a couple of times a day. We have never had a student loan so they have no reason to call. If we pick up the phone no one answers so we can speak to someone.
I have received these calls erroneously also. I merely told them that I have not student loans, never had any student loans, am not related, to my knowledge, to anyone who has student loans and am not a reference for anyone who has a student loan.Doing so completely took care of the problem and I do not receive any additional calls. This company is merely attempting to collect on delinquent student loans. Can they make mistakes? Of course they make mistakes. When was the last time you purchased anything or engaged in any transaction that was not *****ed up in some manner?I am happy that someone is attempting to collect delinquent student loans, these being funded by public tax dollars.n I do hope that they will not make mistakes and, when they do, will promptly correct their mistakes. A contract is a contract and borrowers need to pay their debts.Oh, I checked out the website. https://loansolutions.usafunds.org is a legitimate web site.
I have been getting these calls for several months now. They call during the day and I'm not home. I am not delinquent on any student loans. The message said I could go to loansolutions.usafunds.org but the website isn't a legit one ... I think they are trying to collect on someone else's loan who listed the previous occupants at my house as a reference. Can they somehow come up with a legit phone # for an address? It isn't the same # they previous occupants had. BTW, I've been in my house for over 5 years now.
Quit your lying Tina! You guys need to get your s**t together and verify numbers before you s**** harassing people at work. If you verify 2 forms of ID, use the same diligence before you harrass me and leave your B.S. messages. Saying you're calling someone else's old number is just flat out not true. I've had the same number for 10 years and all of a sudden I'm getting calls from some monkey saying I owe on student loans. This is a shady scam to get people to pay them money."Next time just answer the phone and be polite." That type of arrogant at***ude is exactly why you get your head bitten off when people do answer the phone. I'm glad you bottom-feeding slugs get your lives threatened every day. Now go play in traffic.
Just received a call from this number and they left a voicemail urging me to call about an "important business matter." I don't and never have had student loans, so I don't know why they would be calling me,****uming the above information is still correct. My phone number has been mine for 6+ years now, so it seems odd I would be suddenly getting calls now for a reissued number, if what the poster above says is true.
SAC calls me about 7 times a Day and are very rude even when Sallie Mae still hold my private student loan and its not due for six months. They tell me my federal loan is in default and I owe ****** amounts of money and they well settle for what they can get. DO NOT TELL THEM ANY THING, AND DO NOT PAY THEM ANY THING. If what they are doing is not working the higher ups will have to c****e/stop funding for the program. scroll up and do what Report SAC to Congress ask you to.
I work for SAC and we are none of the things you accuse us of. We are just trying to get help to people who honestly need it. If you would just answer the phone and listen to us. We could get your accounts current and give you****istance when you need it. Yes we do call a lot of wrong numbers. That's only because peoplewo reuse to pay have their number c****ed and other people get the bad luck of recieving the number next.If you think we enjoy wasting our time calling wrong numbers you're wrong. I am really sorry if you feel we bully and harass you. That is not the case at all. Believe me my day goes by much quicker when I don't have to hear someone cussing me and threatening my life. Also before every call by law we have to say the call may be monitored or recorded to protect you and because we are watched very close to make sure we are following the laws. Also by law we have to have you verify two forms of ID which are acurrent address and phone number that is only so that we know we are speaking to you or an authorized third party and not giving your inforation to someone who does not need it. Next time just answer the phone and be polite. You never know what help we have for you in this time of economic trouble until you listen.
just got my first one today (5 May 09)...the left a message asking for KEVIN CAMP, no one I know. I'm hoping there robo-caller doesn't get ***g up on my number...
I've been getting calls over the past week from this number. I did have a loan from Sallie Mae, but there's no way I'm deliquent because I'm still in school, so my payments haven't even s****ed yet. I did get a letter a couple weeks ago from them telling me they had transferred my loan to another provider. Is it possible that this call could be about that?
****FIRST - Get their address and mail them a CEASE & DESIST letter. They cannot BY LAW contact you anymore by phone - PERIOD. They can only send you certified mail notices of any legal action being taken, which is unlikely.****I've received multiple calls from this company even after I tell them to remove my name from their list. Their calling for step-children of mine from a former marriage...I haven't had contact with any of these individuals in about 10 years. What made me angry about today's call is that as soon as I answered the phone on the first ring, I was accused by the person on the other end of "****ing up on them" before calling me a***n...I quickly let that lady know she was mistaken. I pay my bills - these are hard times and I have three children, BUT my husband and I make every effort to pay all our bills ON TIME!!
The weird part if this is all true is that I am still within the automatic six month deferral following graduation!
These calls are from Student****istance Corporation (SAC), a "corporate en***y" of Sallie Mae, which is the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT (check out salliemae.com). Your government, in the form of SAC, is spending taxpayer money to hire these debt collectors. They get REALLY ****ed when you call them debt collectors, which is OK since they treat EVERYONE like dirt. They don't care if they call the wrong person -- even if you are not in default on Federal student loans, they will still treat you rudely, WITH THE BLESSING OF THE FEDERAL GOVT. They use extremely aggressive, but very typical, debt collector tactics, like bullying, intimidation, insult, and threats, EVEN IF YOU DON'T OWE ANY MONEY. BTW, Verizon Residential will not block their number unless I pay them for the privelege. Nice, huh?One way to combat SAC and Sallie Mae is to compain to your Congressman. This is Federal Funding used to bully and threaten innocent American citizens, and Congress should be aware. Use this site to find and e-mail your representative: https://forms.house.gov/wyr/welcome.shtml. Use this site to find and e-mail your Senators: http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm. It'll take ~10 min to cut and paste the same e-mail to your 3 Congressmen -- well worth your time. For reference, check out the Controversies section of Sallie Mae's wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sallie_mae#Controversies. Looks like the NY Attorney General sued Sallie Mae and won -- maybe with enough complaints, we can get other state agencies or even the Feds to affect some c****e.Don't trust SAC with ANY of your personal information -- they'll just use it a***nst you. Don't give them your social security #, DOB, home address -- ANYTHING. They can verify your iden***y with your FULL NAME ONLY. If they don't, it's because they DON'T WANT TO. They are typical sociopathic debt collectors who get their jollies from making honest, hard-working people feel like criminals. Why? Because it works. For every 1,000 people they chew up and spit out, they will, eventually, find the one right person they were looking for. Who cares if they intimidated, bullied, and threatened 999 innocent people. DON'T BE THEIR NEXT VICTIM -- FIGHT BACK THROUGH CONGRESS.
They can't be to legitimate when they're contacting me and my student loans are with a completely different organization and aren't in default. The loans were originally with Sallie Mae, but I moved them to another en***y over five years ago and they are now calling me about it though they can't seem to locate my account anywhere.I've received repeated calls at my place of employment and they will not quit contacting me, even though I've made the request multiple times after they were unable to locate any account in my name. And I'd also say that any employee of SAC that feels the need to stoop to personal attacks, then really, it says a lot about the types of people they hire.
you are calling the wrong number for the wrong person.
they didnt star after you applied for a loan, they s****ed when you became deliquent on your federal loan that you already have out...just answer and talk to the people its a completely LEGIT company!!! trying to avoid the calls too?? they will call your parents, siblings, in laws, and yes they will even call your neighborrs if you loan is big enough!!!
I get calls fromthis comp. at least 4 times a day and the only msg they leave is that is a very personal matter to please call back at 1866 640 5206 and my name is said with a recording or digital voice...does anyone knows what the***** they want??? these calls s****ed for me too after i applyed for a student loan with Sallie Mae.
This is a collection agent for student loans
They call me a lot, too. They're some loan agency my info magically went to after I applied for loans with Sallie Mae. I always get recorded messages from them., usually in a British accent. And my name is a robot voice recording. Very personalized. o___O;
This 800 number keeps calling asking for a person who does not work at my office, and they keep calling multiple times a day/week.
