Got msg on cellphone. Shows as Scotia bank but they are not leaving any messages.

Came up as caller id: Scotia bank on my cellphone. ***g up after 2 rings already.

Calls 6-7 times a day. No one is there when I stay on the line. I hear a click and then the phone goes dead. I dialed them back, it was HBC (the Bay) and had to select certain numbers to be removed, which I did and then I got a busy signal. We'll see if it stops them from calling.

It was extremely easy to be removed from the calling list. Just call the number back and there is an automated phone service; select the option of removing yourself from the list.

1-866-696-0847These guys do not give up!  It is ridiculous.  9:30am today what the*****!?  I tried answering to ask them to stop harassing me but I just got dead air.  Definitely an auto-dialer as they have been leaving empty messages on my voice mail daily.Called the number back and I got a recording from HBC company.  I was prompted to enter my number and it said "my # will be removed in 5 business days however it may take up to 30 days to remove all of my information from their marketing efforts".   By the sounds of the product they were describing, it sounded like they were trying to sell credit card protection as I do happen to have a Bay card.   It is just extremely disappointing that they would market by this ****od.  Very rude, inconsiderate and old fashioned.  I wonder how many people they trick into buying it  and who keeps buying this credit card protection?  Some people must be or else they would stop calling.  Didn't anyone watch CBC Marketplace where they reveal that this credit card insurance is all a scam and if you break your arms and legs on a Monday by tripping over a tiny purple horse the company might consider making your minimum payment.

Calls me daytime and evenings after office -- plus weekends too!  Unbelieveable persistence, incredibly annoying.

Try repeatedly hitting the * and # key simultaneously as soon as you hear her voice. If it doesn't do anything, it will at least annoy her.

The call was from a telemarketer from The Bay.

Wow these guys are relentless.  They got hold of my cell number and call 5 times a day.  I answer and get dead air, then a **** up.  Their autodialer is absolutely atrocious.  It should make sure that there is at least an agent to field the call before dialing out.  I call the 800 number back and it gives a mysterious recording about directory****istance.  This goes a***nst CRTC rules which state that outgoing marketing calls must have a valid return phone number displayed on caller ID.  Shame on HBC.  Shame shame.Needless to say, I have the extension to Bonnie Brooks, President and CEO of HBC.  I have filled her voice mail box with a bunch of recordings.

This number constantly calls, minimum 2 times daily. I want it stopped.

This one calls me all the time and from this site, and determining it was HBC, I went to their site and ended up being directed to send an email to [email protected] - you have to list your name, phone # etc etc (they will send you a list of things they need - but really shouldn't!) and they will remove your number.  I did it and have received their confirmation that my #'s been removed, however, they do say if my # had been picked for promotion telemarketing prior to my request, then I might receive calls for 90 days (oh yay).  Funnily enough, 5 minutes ago, I received a call a***n, so I guess I'll have to put up with it for another 90 days.  Also tried to block these calls on Shaw (who provides my digital phone) but that so far hasn't seemed to work.

today i received the paperwork with all details of 'protection plan', including cancellation number, so i'll cancel it tomorrow

If you have call display, you have a digital phone provider. You can use it to block that number (or any other) from calling you.  S**** by pressing *60 and follow the instructions.

and if i have agreed to by this "protection plan", can i cancel it by calling hbc customer service number on my credit card or i should call these guys back?

um that 800-263-2559 is for a radio station in southwestern ontario am 800 or so****ing?

putting your number into their DO NOT CALL list does not stop these idiots from calling you.  I swear if I get one more phone call from them I will blast their eardrum out when they answer their end of the phone!

These guys call every other day. I am quite sure they are calling from Asia. I decided to pick up today. HBC Financial Services calling on behalf of the Bay wanting you to buy so****ing...today it is "personal privacy protection". I asked the rep why they call every other day, two times a day. I asked the rep for the managers telephone number 1-800-263-2559. I asked the rep for his personal home phone number. This completely threw him off, said he did not have a phone number except the one he gave me. I got his full name, then told him I would be calling the number he gave me every other day to speak to him and ask him for his home phone number. If you are tired of getting disturbed by these time wasters, then take 5 minutes to call 1-800-263-2559. complain and you may actually never get a call a***n. Note: If you or spouse have any accounts with HBC or the Bay, they will continue to call unless the authorized user asks them to stop.

this is not hudsons bay co. or anyone like that... it is a scam.. if it calls you... tell them they have the wrong phone number, or else they will keep calling you back over and over a***n...

Had several calls from this #. I called it back to see who it was- third party on behalf of Hudson's Bay Co for a special offer. It gives you an option to put in your number and have it removed from their calling list.
