DO NOT TALK TO THEM!!! got a call from this number tonight, and it was some guy claiming to be with Bank of America, to enroll me in some fraud monitoring program free for a month. he had my full name, address, and almost my complete email address. I told him I did not want to be in the program, because i thought so****ing was fishy, and he said "ok, but I still need to enroll you so that you can get your free credit check" I said no a***n, and he said "ok, if you c****e your mind or have any questions, call this number:" and he rattled off a number so fast I couldn't even catch the first number and then ***g up immediately. I entered the number he called me from on google and found loads of posts like this one, so I got worried and went to check my online banking, and it said I had been locked out for too many attempts to enter the wrong passcode. I have not been on there for a few days, so I know it was these scammers! had to call the 24 hr. hotline and get everything reset with a more secure passcode. Just because they know your name and address does NOT mean they are your bank!! and think about it; with all the offers banks already send you every year about new programs they are doing, wouldn't they just send that info out as well, they would never call you from a call center! DON'T fall for it!!
Receiving non-stop calls from this number with a vooice message to call and punch in my number o that they can call me back. I company name is identified and I have no clue who they are. The calls need to STOP now!
CORRECTION: He was NOT claiming to be from AT&T, claiming to be from Bank of America.
June 24, 2011 I got a call from 866-696-5487 claiming to be from at&t and asked for me by name. They said that they were with Bank of America and had a special offer. I told them to call back in 20 minutes. This phone number doesn't come up in reverse telephone databases. but does appear on google listings as spamcallers that have been complained about online.
Called ferquently ! All my calls are screened,if I don't recognize the number or caller,I don;t pick up .They never speak to my answering ma****e.Works for me,even though it's annoying.
no message left, they are at it a***n- please everyone be careful
Keep calling me, should I report to LAPD or bank? Cos she keep saying calling from bank og America, come on, who will call customer after 8pm? Scam
I keep getting a call on my cell phone from this number every day. I do not answer and they do not leave a message. This is really annoying!! Does nyone know what agency they can be reported to?
These ****s decided to call me at 11:50 PM and I was beyond baffled at their audacity to contact me this late. However, the fact that they were supposed to be from Bank of America prompted me to speak to this fraudulent lady. I called Bank of America as soon as I ***g up the phone because I was feeling extremely uneasy. I will be calling the claims department to make sure that they have not stolen my iden***y. Call your bank if the same thing happens to you. Do not waste any time! These people will be easier to catch if it is indeed a scam. I am a college student who cannot afford to have my credit ruined. Best of luck!Sincerely,College Girl
Received call at my store, accented person who was not understandable stated they were trying to verify employment for someone that my Supervisor never heard of - tried call the number and got the message that no one is available too!
Yep, called the phone number back two times and got that no agent is available ****. Funny, because an agent was available to call me at 7:00 pm. I don't owe anyone money, my bills are paid each month far in advance, so what is going on??? The so called voicemail asked me to enter my telephone number. I entered a number that I knew did not exist and was informed that "they" had received it. DO NOT give them your phone number, that will only tell them you have acknowledged their call. This is a scam. I'm a police officer and this is the kind of **** I get sick to ***** of dealing with every day. Any legitimate business will not refer to themselves as the "service center" on voicemail. I've already forwarded my complaint, but I know it won't do any good unless I inform others of this ****. Do not give out any personal information. If they claim to be with a certain bank, call that bank and verify it. Just because someone says they are with so and so does not mean they are.
i just got the call tooo from bank of america those (excuse my french)b***h a**es asked me what was i doing for iden***y theft
the number is 8666965487 eveytime u call back an answer ma****e comes on n says there aint noone available to take call its sum bull
really i think its a scam they called me and told me they were callin from bank of america.Anybody else get a similar phone call?
phone call after phone call from these recorded ****s on my cell phone, reminding me to vote. I will be so glad when elections are over and these egomaniacs who run for office can stop harassing me. Do the candidates not realize that an unsolicited, unwanted recorded message is not the way to get votes - right the opposite in my book.
Got 6 calls today; answered 3. Each person said that they were taking a poll to see if I planned to vote for Adrian Fenty or Vincent Gray in the upcoming Sept. 2010 May**** Election (Washington, DC). When I said "undecided" the caller emphasized the reasons to vote for in***bent Adrian Fenty.
multiple calls, phone harassment
I received a call from this number (caller id "800 Service") with a promotional credit protection service. Even though I am on the Do Not Call list, this company was allowed to call me because they are****ociated with my mortgage company, Homecomings Financial. All I had to do was politely ask that my number be removed from their calling list, and I was told that I would receive no more promotional calls from them.
I've told these criminals that the phone number is on the DO NOT CALL LIST, yet these criminals continue to ignore the law.
