Simply call the number back...it's a "service bureau" (read: telemarketers galore). You can leave a voicemail with your phone number to be removed from their system so that you never get this annoying number popping up on your caller id a***n....
A those automatic calling ma****es. Dee-delee-do ! Why did they do let Homer Simpson have such a ma****e. Maybe it's a search engine to validate phone numbers? What I do is look up the number on the caller ID display and if I don't recognize that number, I just do not answer. If the callers really want to talk to me, then they ****** well leave a message.Has anyone seen the TV show about that subject? Was interesting to see how they operate. We've been receiving these types of calls as well, when there the caller doesn't really say anything and doesn't leave a message. I wonder if in those cases, this is a telemarketer looking for valid phone numbers that they can sell to other telemarketers.

I star 69ed this number a few minutes ago. It seems they did infact leave a message, it goes and i quote:"hello?...*****o?... thanks bye"I love how automated my answering ma****e is. Funniest responses!
Calls at lunch time offering master card. Computer dialed then operator on phone. Just another marketing call. Comes up with: unknown name on caller ID
