Contacted my son on a debt that my wife had 6years ago stating they were going to have my wife put in jail if she didnt call them back in an hr seems funny my wife and my phone number is a listed number been in the same house for 15years and they make threats to my son .so i called the number that they gave my son also a different number than what shows up on caller ID they made a bunch of threats to me stating the sheriff was going to be at my house in an hour with a court summons been a week havent seen or hear anything from THEY ARE A FRAUD THE CLAIM THEY ARE ATTORNEY'S SO THEY CAN AVOID LICENSING THEMSELVES AS A COLLECTION AGENCY IN YOUR STATE!!!!! THEY ARE NOT ATTORNEY'S FILE A COMPLAINT WITH YOUR STATE ATTTONEY GENERAL AS WELL THE NEW YORK STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND PUT A STOP TO THESE ****S NOW THEY ARE COLLECTION AGENCY THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW FEDERAL DEBT COLLECTION LAWS DO NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT

Collection Agency impersonating a Law Office. They called me about a debt that was devided in a divorce proceeding 8yrs ago and my half is paid. Ex did not so they are now harrassing me about it. Said they were taking me to court and if I paid such and such amt they would stop the proceedings asap.....told them to fax me a copy for review....it is a standard collection agency letter...
