So very tired of them. Say I owe money for a Columbia house movie club, yet I have NEVER had a membership. Asked when this was taken out and he couldn't tell me.. He gave me an address from 3 years ago! Told him I don't think he is legit and he cursed at me and told me I was "s***" for not paying my bills!! ***?!?!? Can't give me an account number or date opened and wanted my credit card? Who the***** does he think he is treating me like that! I told them to contact me by mail only and never call my phone a***n.. He said he can call me as much as he wants!! I told him that by law if I say contact me by mail he can not call... He ***g up on me and called back 26 times back to back and I would silence my phone an he called back a***n!

866-435-1646 calls me every day including weekends. When I asked for their license number they gave me a bogus number. They have the nerve to call me non-stop but not enought to give me their business number?

Yes, I'm on all the DoNotCall Registry. And, no, I don't have (nor have I had) debts to any company, so there's no reason for them to call me. However, the best I can tell, from resear****g this, is that these companies have purchased old debts and they are calling any phone number ever remotely****ociated with folks who might have had a debt, ever. (According to the Clark Howard site, if you answer their call and provide any payment info, they will actually take YOUR $$ even though you don't owe them anything.) As others have said, PLEASE do not give any caller any of your personal info. This from the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org): Government Actions The following describes a government action that has been resolved by either a settlement or a decision by a court or administrative agency. If the matter is being appealed, it will be noted below. Keep calling me at home from this number, sometimes 6 o 7 times a day.

Calls and calls but never leaves a message. I finally answered and it took the person several minutes to figure what MY name was. He mentioned his name at least twice but with his accent (Indian, I think) I couldn't understand what he was saying. I did catch that he was from Allied Interstate and he was a debt collector for Columbia House Video.

This person has been calling minimally 3-6 daily for the past two weeks. Sometimes he asks for a person that does not live here other times and other times they just **** up. This is got to stop.

Someone from this number calls my home phone all hours of the day and night. I have received as many as 3 calls in one 24 hour period before. They ask for someone by the name of Hansen or Hanson. I don't KNOW anyone by that name and there certainly isn't anyone by that name residing here. This has to stop!

They call me twice a day, every single day! No matter how many times I answer and explain this has nothing to do with me! I wish there was a way to get them to stop but NOTHING has worked.

They always leave a message saying press on for this, or that, and I called them back and told them to stop calling me. Did it stop? I don't know anything about this company. The call comes through, probably, daily...today at 10:08am CST. I answered this time but no one on the other end. I heard a click, then a disconnect. I think it's an auto-dialer. I decided from now on when I'm around to pickup the phone on the toll free calls and leave it off the hook until it disconnects. then the call will cost them there time, and money. I'm not in default to anyone to owe anything if it's an attempted debt collection. I've posted this with National do Not Call about 2 or 3 times already, & 2nd time on this site as an update.

These people call collecting money we do not owe. They say they are calling from Columbia House but when we called Columbia House they said they account was in perfect state.Asked Allied for account number on file and the number given doesn't even exist according to Columbia House Customer Service. This is harrasment and there is a very rude lady with an accent that does not listen or understand what you say.

I s****ed getting these calls on my cell phone a week ago. The one time I answered, a man with a Middle-Eastern accent responded. I ***g up sure it was a scam. I pay my bills on time, have never joined a music club, and don't order magazines. Folks, the reason you get ***g up on when you answer these calls is because they are using a dialing system. They have all cell phone prefixes and make many calls simultaneously. When someone answers, they disconnect all the other outgoing calls. All cell nos. that answer or go into an active Voice Mail are stored in their phone bank and called a***n, and a***n. This is NOT a legitimate collection agency. This is a scam to get your credit card/checking account information! I'm giving my cell phone to my exhusband to answer for a few days. He is head of a financial crimes/internet fraud unit and works with the FBI. Seeing as how the person at the other end is of Middle East decent, Homeland Security might be interested too. :) Selling credit card info. over the internet could be one of the ways *********s are raising funds. Don't be duped into giving out your credit card info./checking account info., or even your name! Yes, I'm giving my exhusband my phone. :)

I get a call from this number almost every day. I don't anwser it, but I do call it back and some picks up. They never leave a message they just call and call.
