Same as Sumsung User described, asked for 4 digits of social on prompt, and told me that I own $40 past due and my full balance is $538 and some c****e, I talk Account rep and he asked how I'm going to pay.

Yes, said they were from Barclay Bank because my payment is late. I called back and talked to a guy who gave me the names of debt consolidation companies, felt off during the call, he asked to verify my info, then I looked up the number here and see all the questions about whether it's legit. Won't return those calls anymore to say the least. Yikes.

Possibly Juniper bank (Also Barklays bank Deleware)credit card collections, unless spammer got it off our credit report. Not surprised if its the bank though. Entering last four of SSN sounds very fishy. They have left couple of automated messages asking by name. Payment is late and we have account.

Called several times a day wanting us to enter 4 digits of SSN for a bank we do not have an account with. I called them and was transferred to a "customer service representative" (foreign voice) after I entered a phoney 4 digits. She asked for my phone number to access our information about a credit card there was a problem with, but I told her I refused to give any info to an anonymous caller. She didn't have any information about ME, even though my call was transferred directly to her.

They have called my daughters cell phone 25 times or more and say they are Air Tran Airways Reward Card. Juniper Bank is behind Air Tran card. They have no idea who this number is. I contacted their security department

This company keeps calling for an individual that somehow gave my number or the company wrote it done wrong. I have blocked another number from this company and now it appears as if I am going to have to block this number also. Then I will have to c****e my number!!!!

I inherited a phone number of a man named Nick. Nick has evidently left a trail of debt with my phone number as the bread crumb. When I first got the phone I s****ed to get calls from old friends, his grandmother, and Apple Collections. This was in August of 2008. I was finally able to convince Apple Collections that I inherited the number and did not know Nick. They said they would remove my number from his account within 30 days. They stopped calling until a few days ago (October 2009). When I explained the situation, they said they could not remove the number without Nick's consent. I contacted my provider and they suggested I c****e my phone number. At that point I contacted the BBB and my state's Attorney General's office a***nst Apple. I alerted the callers then s****ed to get calls from 2 additional numbers. These are the numbers calling for collection:

I received a automatically call asking me if I was "my name" then press 1, then they ask to press my last 4 digits of my SS#, then I press a fake 4 digit SS# until an operator answared the phone and then she ask me the same questions and before I gave her my information I asked her from what company she was calling from and she said Barclay's Bank then I told her well I don't have an account with your bank and she insisted to give my information and I told her I didn't appreciate her calling me and ***g up. You all don't give your information if you donot know who they are.

Call everyday filling up my limited amount of voicemail ****e. Claims to be US Airways Dividend Miles Mastercard. I have one and not overdue. Once I picked up phone and ***g up they s****ed call multiple times a day. Three calls in 6 hours on Sunday 2/8.

They were calling me twice a day for about a month, leaving a prerecorded message, now they have moved on to calling from 'unknown' numbers where a real person leaves a message. I've tried calling back and telling them I am not the person they are looking for but they keep calling. I don't know what else to do to get them to STOP!!

Out of the blue I got a call from 866.740.4298. They did not leave a message. I *69 and returned the call. They don't identify themselves except as customer service and ask for personal info. When I get an operator they told me they were credit collectors for Barclay Bank. When I told her I don't have any debt except a mortage that is not with Barclay's, she requested more personal info. I refused. I asked her to take my number off the calling list and she said she wasn't a telemarketer.

Oh, and a follow-up to everyone else, this is DEFINITELY NOT Juniper Bank. I have an account with them, and their customer service numbers are all 877 numbers.

Getting multiple calls per day. Not sure who or what this is b/c I won't answer numbers I don't recognize. Call back and it asks "if you are **X press 1" so I ***g up. All my accounts are closed, so I don't know why any legit company would be bothering me.

This is undoubtedly a fraud call seeking credit card information to steal one's credit. I screamed and demanded from the person calling until that person ***g up.

Getting 2 or 3 calls a day on a daily basis from this number.

This number keeps calling me. This is not right and bothers me so much. When i tried to call back, it said that it is not vailable.

They call saying they are from one of my credit cards and that I should call this number back. 866-740-4298. Contacted my credit card directly and they had never called me. I'm fairly certain THESE PEOPLE ARE BAD NEWS. Don't give them any information. Call your credit card company using the toll free number written on the back of your actual card and tell them your account may be compromised!
