Looked up Comcast on the internet and called this number because I wanted to c****e my plan. Person said I was 2 months behind in payments and my computer had been hacked. Wanted me to send a cashiers check for $1000 by Fed Ex. Be careful when looking up phone numbers on the internet. Check the actual web address.

I thought I was calling Century Link customer service but I called this number and believe they are spammers. They confirmed my birthday and address and phone number but did not confirm my SS#, accounts, or ask for payment.

I googled ATT customer service, this number came up first. They said other people were using my account. Wanted to connect to my computer using www.help me. That is a sure sign of a scammer. ***g up. Thanks, Kitbo***

my mother called this number that came up after unknowingly downloading malware. the caller said her iden***y had been compromised and she would have to pay between $300-400 to get it back.

Called and told me my computer was infected / hacked. Advised that I pay them to fix the "problem".

My mother called this number accidentally, believing it was for Verizon customer service. The person who answered tried to convince her that her phone and computer connection had been hacked, and that she would have to pay $600 to have tech support correct the problem.

called for spectrum and they tried telling me my PC was hacked. I knew they would have no way of knowing this. Contacted spectrum and it was a scam.

Claimed to be eBay and claimed my credit cards were being hacked.
