Went to a couple Acura dealerships and gave our number, and shopped via Costco online for a car and input our number for one Acura dealership, 3 days ago.  Now getting calls every day with no one on the other end.  the Car dealerships must be giving out our number.  Why? They already have it themselves.  I surfed on Auto Trader.com via DSL but didn't enter my phone number... maybe they somehow can detect it since it's DSL?

Its a number used by a variety of cars sales people. I recently went shopping for a new 2011 shelby between 2 dealers. The first dealer wouldn't give me the listed rebates or trade in value I wanted so I went to the other nearby ford and bought one there. Later that week the first dealer called and asked if I would be interested in working so****ing out, but I made them well aware that I purchased the car from their compe***or instead. The salesman was pretty mad and ***g up. Next thing I know I'm getting called by this number everyday. Blocked it now but its still annoying to think ****** salesmen do that ****.

I bought a car a week ago, never looked anywhere but the dealership I purchased from and now are getting these calls.

Surfed for carsoer weekend, now getting calls from this number that do not leave a message and no one speaks when I do answer to tell them to stop.  Someone on line is selling information without notification and needs to be stopped.

This is so infuriating.  This number calls virtually everyday andno one is there when I answer.It is on my home phone and I CANNOT block 800 or 866 callsonly.I call back, and like another post indicates, it ****s up withno one answering..I also was surfing the net on cars, Fords actually so maybe thereis a connection there somewhere..How ****** ******..

Been getting calls from them the past few days, they leave no message and **** up.  I called back an automated system answered and then the call ***g up.Reading other posts, this is certainly related to me recently having an online chat with a car dealership and I have an appointment with them tomorrow to talk about a vehicle.  Evidently they sell your number to this company.  I will just block them from my phone.  Thankfully I have that option on my cell.

i have gotten calls from this number for the past 3 days. They initially identified themselves as a Hendrick Toyota dealership in Cary, North Carolina.  This bothers me for several reasons.1. I don't drive any car, 2.I live in Raleigh, 3. They keep calling me looking for a person whose name does not match mine.

THE NEXT TIME THEY CALL, IF I AM AT HOME WHEN THEY CALL, I WILL USE MY DIRECTIONS TO BLOCK THEIR PHONE NUMBER. PEACE AT LAST. THIS SAME NUMBER IS COMING UP WITH VARIOUS NAMES ATTACHED AND ARE CAR ***NDS. I HAVE MY DIRECTIONS BY MY PHONE AS I WRITE THIS. WE NEED TO STOP THESE IDIOTS IN THEIR TRACKS. WHAT IS THE SENSE OF CALLING AND NOT ANSWERING OR LEAVING A MESSAGE. THIS IS DISGRACEFUL THAT WE HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS. IF THIS DOES NOT WORK I AM GOING TO CONTACT OUR ATTORNEY GENERAL AND THEY WILL GE OUT OF BUSINESS STAT!!!!!!

Someone has been using my phone number to request more info from local dealerships. Today, I got a call from this number. No answer, but I can only****ume that they got my info from this ****** who has been giving out the wrong number. Yay.

Just got a call from this number, searched for it on google and found this page. Didn't pick up. No message was left. I have begun to look into buying a used car online, but didn't use any the other places people have talked about yet. Not sure how they got my number. I hope I don't keep getting calls from this number.

I submitted a quote request through CarsDirect.com and then began receiving calls from this number.  Apparently CarsDirect.com shares your information with anybody and everybody.  This is enough for me to stop using CarsDirect.com.

I have gotten numerous calls from this number over the past 2 weeks, I ended up calling them to find out who it was after no voicemails.  Turned out to be Infiniti of Tampa, FL calling about a car I had looked at online.  I told them to remove my info from their database, we'll see what happens next!

These people are thieves, I purchased a vehicle from them through the internet, had my Bank in the Ba***** wire ******0.00 to a Bank of America Account, Randolph Ma. in the Name of Mr. Istvan Bence, Acct No. 00463436***8. I My Bank wired this money on November 30th, 2010 and the agreement was for me to fly from the Ba***** to Miami Fl, on the 7th, of December to inspect, receive ***le and ship vehicle. to date I have not seen or heard from these people, in fact they blocked me from accessing their website Chat line. These people needs to be exposed. I found out that there are others who have suffered the same ***e.

I had written an online request to Honda Carland to remove a deceased family member's name from the Honda mailing list.  I had to include a phone number on the request.  But, I also specifically asked that my info not be added to their databases.No one followed up to address my issue about the family member's info.  But, I got 3 calls from this number over the next couple of days.  There was no message left with any of the calls.  I decided to call the number back.When I did, I reached a telemarketing rep who wanted to know if I had questions about the Honda car that I wanted to buy -- which was definitely not the reason that I had contacted them.Hope this helps.

They just keep calling!  Irritating!

I got the phone call on a Sa****ay answered it, and ***ody spoke. Returned the call it was Superior Mazda, calling about purchasing a vehicle.

I received one call a day from this number, 866.793.0145.  When I do answer it ***ody replies on the other side.  Since this number is calling my work number, I would answer the call with a greeting of our company name, good morning/afternoon, this is , how can I help you?  But no one will reply from the other side.  I will say "hello?"  and still no reply.  When I don't answer the call, no voicemail is left.

Called and when I answered the call they ***g up.
