From the Do Not Call registry website: What about calls from market research or polling firms? Calls from organizations conducting market research, surveys, or public opinion polls are also exempt from the National Do Not Call List Rules and are not required to keep an internal do not call list. These types of calls are not telemarketing calls because the caller is not asking you to purchase, lease or rent products or services.

I can let you know, that the national do not call lists are for selling ... not for research purposes... so being on the do not call list wont get you anywhere with data/interviewer companies

Un-Solicited call

The company is Acrobat Research. Their contact info is as follows... (and I might suggest eager ******s go to the steps of finding the home phone numbers of the executive (listed below) and soliciting them as much as they find it necessary for their company to solicit us.) Hey, ask them every question in the world about why they feel it is okay to solicit us without our approval. - especially at dinner time as they find it appropriate to solicit us. Also, the questions they ask are inappropriate - don't hesitate to let them know. i.e. "Hello, is there a male over the age of 18 in your household?" My mother got this call and she was unable to sleep and ended up also calling me (her son) to come over because she was so scared! For every single mom, woman, individual, & son out there who knows the world can be a bit scary - we really should let these people know this is not acceptable. called at supper time... no answer and no-one answered when I called back... it didn't even ring!

this # shows at least 8 times a week. unable to trace. this practice should be banned.

call often and close to 9pm

called and left no message and when I call back I am getting fast busy signal????

This number has shown up on my caller ID five times in the last week. I am on the national do not call list, so I****ume it is not a solicitation call--unless it is someone I have done business with (and that makes me mad). I tried redialing the number and there is only clicking and dead air. Bleh!
