This is not spam. It is Securus Tech. Someone from jail is trying to call you. If you have your phone set up with payment information so that you can receive calls from jail, this is not the number that they will call you from. If you get a call from this number, it's because your balance is too low to accept calls, or you do not have that set up on your phone. It will offer you the opportunity to set up funds to pay for the call. It is not only in FL as some previous comments state.

This number is from a service that routes calls from a jail or detention facility collect, typically costs $9.99 charged to your bill. If you don't know someone in jail, don't accept the charges or speak to the operator and ask to be blocked. You won't be bothered a***n, not from this company anyways!

I wouldn't be surprised if one of my friends was in jail, but I live in Ne***ska, and ector county jail is in Texas. Also I'm 16, my friends know I don't have the money to bail them out.

They do not only call me but also flooded my voicemail with recorded messages. The messages are similar to what you get from the phone call. I wonder how can the system leave voicemail there?

Just because the caller id shows up that it's in texas doesn't mean thats where the inmate is located its just because of the area code.

This is a call from a detention facility, they can not and will not be able to charge you if you answer!! It will be a recording giving you options like accept this call by entering a credit card number or press a certain number to reject this or all jail calls. You just never know when someone you love goes to jail and needs to be bailed out!!!!

It's a jail call. I know this because they called the house phone first. Not just from TX, but from Louisiana also.
