There are some reports they may be using on-line court records to target victims.As you also saw, they pull credit reports, which would give them enough information to fake a "debt" that looks sort of like an old account.

I just recieved amessage from mr.michael jones.i just filed for bankrupcty due to another collection scam i fell for. am on a fixed income and recent widow.i looked at my credit report today and they had my credit pulled without my permission and right after all my papers were filed as i know there is no outstanding debt that i owe.

my mom just called me, this is the 3rd time a Michael Jones has called me from 877-798-9917. Said hes a processor and they are trying to serve me court papers and that I have a case in my county. The first call my mom got and the 2nd call i got and when I called back the # it was the HG Group, then the 3rd time which was today, my mom got a call from Michael Jones saying it was nationwide court services phone # 877-798-9917, he said they have been trying to send me court papers for my court date and they keep getting returned. I called the number back and the lady answered "Damagedcars.com" I asked her a***n what the name was and asked her if  this was the correct #, then she just sounded funny when I asked if it was Nationwide court services and said "No" I dont know who these people are but Im sure if it was real, they would find me especially if it had an actual court hearing.

The number they gave me is 877-798-9*** as of 12/3/10

Interestingly enough I received a call from the same person yes****ay. He gave me no information other that I had a pending action a***nst me.  Sounds like these guys are animals.  Thanks for the company info. I will be following up the same way.

Wow, as sad as this is I feel sooo much better knowing I am not alone in this harassment!  They have a new number 888-280-7216 as of 11/8/10.

Wow!  I just googled this number and came up with so many posts about this same individual or company claiming to be a debt collector named HGG who I have never heard of prior to these harrassing phone calls began about a month and a half ago.  Unbelievable what debt collectors think they have the right to do to innocent people.  I'm going to do further investigating of my own on Wayne Swanson in Corona too!  What ever it is you want, I don't got any!  I'm calling the FTC and follow up with written letters to other local and state authorities.  This needs to stop even it is one *@$%-hole at a time.

I received a call from this number 866-872-8399 said i owed all this money but refused to send me a copy of the bill..They accessed my credit report as well without my permission,  HGG out of Corona California....They are scammers do not take calls from them and check your credit report!!!

DO NOT take calls from 866-872-8399.  its a huge scam. they say there are going to "serve" you with papers and try to make me pay $1000's of dollers to them.. its all bull sh*t.the guys name is ROY FISCHER "Director of Operations" from HGG (Horizon Global Group)Why would the "DIRECTOR" be making phone calls to people?????

The company owner is Wayne Swanson:2526 Camino Del PlataCorona, CA 92882(714) [email protected] has been trying to scam people for years and years!!

I got a call for 1-866-872-8399 and they said they were going to sue me they are HGG in Corona, California.  They accessed my credit report without my authorization and never gave me any written notice of the debt.  I called the FTC and the Better Business Bureau of California to report them.  I also sent a letter to them of cease and decist certified mail and they still called my job on today and told my supervisor of my debt and that Michael Jones would be serving me papers on tomorrow at work.

i got phone calls from them found out their name is horizon global group in carona, california, but unable to find their address.
