Leave a CommentRec'd a phone call from someone asking for my sister. I asked them what it was concerning so I could get a message to her through my parents and they would not tell me. Oh well, take my number off your list then! Must not be too important.
Hah, Elmo -- I like your moniker -- Yes, I've also gotten many calls from this number from somewhere.
This number called me a total of 17 times. i might report them 2 the police. follow in my footsteps to stop the minute Taker.
After receiving multiple calls from this number, I answered my cell. I was placed on hold for "a very important call" for several minutes. When someone came to the line they asked for someone I didn't know. I told them not to contact me a***n & that they had the wrong number. They continue to call several times a week.
Have made 30+ calls to my phone.
calls every so often; sometimes no message; sometimes a recording leaves a partial voicemail, but usually with the first part cut off; don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, and even though this party repeatedly calls, I am afraid to call back; no idea what they are up to
Bob Jones must be the biggest jack*** in the world. He called here for my son leaving a robo message. Thr message says if you are not so and so **** up now. We give you three seconds to **** up. After three seconds, So and So , I am Bob Jones with the Mitchell Bloom attorneys office. D not listen to this message with anyone else around as it contains personal information. After three seconds he gives his spill. Too bad my answering ma****e did not know it was supposed to **** up.The man was a total jack*** and was rude right off the bat. Funny thing is we just talked ot the hospital last week after receiving a letter about an unpaid bill. The hospital NEVER billed it to the insurance company. South Florida Baptist hospital has got to be the WORST about not billing and then wanting you to pay.I guess the hospital forgot to tell Bobo Jones it was their mistake...hmmmmmmmm I hope he calls a***n when I am home.
I got a call from this number (866-945-8627) to my cell but I don't have any outstanding debt. I know I don't because we have worked really hard to clean up our credit. Why don't they leave a message? I don't know of any creditors that would have this cell number anyway.
Don't remember - no message was left. Received a letter in the mail from them saying they had tried to call me three times but the person I talked to didn't know if a message was left or not. They said they would reduce the amount I owe (which I really doubt that I owe) by 20% but refused to put it in writing.
This is a collection agency for old debts that have been written off by the original debt owner. More often than not, they have passed the statute of limitations so the collectors have no legitimate claim and are hoping you will pay out of fear.
Actually I was just reading the comments. I noticed that "jessica" says that she is an attorney, but she can't even spell "amount" right. HMMM... I am not sure if I should take her advice. Another thing is that she doesn't give accurate advice. They can report to your credit and it will stay there if it is a legitimate collection. Second of, not all collection agencies will negotiate, but if they do then you will get a lot further being professional and mannerly as opposed to demanding and belligerant. Just a thought.
I received a call from this same number and yes they are a debt collector. Turns out I let so****ing slip through the *****s but I do what every red-blooded American should do, I paid it. I can understand the frustration about the wrong number, but when it comes to someone calling me about some of my unfinished business I have to take that call. I can't relate to any one of you that want to bash the business instead of taking care of yours.2 cents
These idiots keep calling my wife's cell phone number. I have told them at least 3 or 4 times that they are dialing a wrong number but they just keep calling. When they call back I'm going to tell them that the person that they are trying to reach recently died and ask them to have some respect for his loved ones by not calling a***n. If they call back a***n, I'm going to tell them that I recently won the lottery and am moving out of the country so they had better serve me with suit papers within the next 30 days or else they'll be out of luck. At least then they might be able to catch up with whatever dead beat used my wife's cell phone number in the first place.

Some Air head named Clay called and said I owed over 1 grand from like 10 years ago... Like wouldnt I know that... And he told me who they were but I had no clue who they were. So Im not going to pay so****ing out of the blue. How can companies do this to you???? Its BS. These are the people that need to die or put in jail
The young guy tried to get me to committ to who I was, and what my mailing address was. I told him,"That depends. Who are you representing?" He finally got hissy, and said he would call back when I was more willing to cooperate...That will be, never...
Mitchell D. Bluhm is a FINANCIAL SERVICES company that buys debt from healthcare outfits, and then uses the old telephone and intimidation to collection moeny. They are by-and-large a bunch of 20-so****ing paralegal wanna-bes that could not get legit legal work, and so resort to this sort of job.Its a line of phone and lists they get in a variety of ways to entice you to send them a check to void the debt ... htat may or may not happen, but they will cash in your funds sent to them, but it probably won't fix your credit.Better off to ge their info, rthen ****-up, and if you wish to settle a debt contact the original debtor and pay them direct. If you send a check they must clear your account.Just don't send these vultures your money ...MITCHELL D. BLUHM and****OCIATES are nothing more then tele-bullies who want to get you to send cash, using any sort of debt connection they can make to you.Don't pay them ... I also had a debt, then paid it, and Mitchell Bluhn, actually a ******* named Jimmy Hackney, tried to get my check "a***n" and would not entertain for a second that I legitimately paid the debt. He got real ****y when I challenged him ... a real ****** that guy. I got the entry off my creidt report, so no harm to me ...
As an attorney, not with them, I can tell you they are just buying old debts. For any money they get they receive a portion of the money and the hospital or medical company gets the rest. As for going on your credit, it has already gone on your credit, once the initial creditors could not collect, they then sold the debt. So your credit is already hurt, however if paid the impact will not be as bad, but if you decide to pay NEGOTIATE not just payments but the AMMOUNT, and offer to pay whatever you decide as payment in full. As previously stated the Fair Debt Collection Act and HIPPA will also give you protection.
It is a collection agency regardless of their name. It was for a medical debt that was paid two years ago and removed from my credit report. Now I have to go back to those records, pull payments receipts and try to get this back off my credit report. Bottom line; monitor your credit history every quarter at the least.
the place is called The Law Firm of Mitchell D. Bluhm and****ociatesi took advice similar to what you are giving, jenny... and i was wrong. yup, the debt was mine... yup, they bought it or capio bought it... idk/idc. i asked for everything in writing and you know what... THEY FREAKING SENT IT!i am so embarrassed that i was so beligerant the first time i talked to them. i'm just glad this didn't go on my credit... cuz these ppl DO REPORT TO CBR. They really are a law firm, i made sure before i paid... they really do own the debt...
Always ask for them to validate their company in status. Then request to get the official invoice, dates, bills MAILED to you. Disregard what they say because all they are trying to do is collect bills. Once you have "received" that validation, then take any necessary action needed. They claim they are from Mitchell Bloom and****ociates Law firm. There is no such thing. He stayed on the phone with me for almost 20 minutes trying to make me pay right then and there. If you aren't aware of your rights then they can easily pull you in.
I just got that call, but no msg left.
federal privacy laws require that a debt collector identify the person that they have on the phone before disclosing certain information. if they collect for medical stuff, then there are also hippa implications. they had your birthday - your wife didn't tell them. they can't even tell you who they represent if they aren't sure they have the right person on the phone. the debt collector can get into a lot of trouble over that. they can even get fined personally. i have found that some debt collectors will get downright nasty if i won't identify myself.
They called tonight and wanted to know if I was in and repeated my birthday to my wife and would not answer any questions put them by her. They then ***g-up....
I got a call from this number. They didn't leave a message. Don't know who this is either.
This call was made about 3:30PM (EST) from 1-866-945-8627 (caller ID name unknown), however I was not able to catch the phone call so it went to voice mail. In listening to this message, a recorded message s****ed in the middle of a sentence indicating that "important call, someone will be with you in a moment"; after this segment of the message then a few seconds of silence, and (a human) voice says "hello". Then the call is disconnected.
Its not a "Law" office, its a Bill Collector for a medical company.
It is a law office wanting people to pay there bills.
