Leave a CommentThese people are ridiculous! They called me a little over a year ago telling me I had won a trip. We were planning a trip at the time and I ******ly gave them a mailing address. A guy called back ten minutes later saying his friend was new at the job and he was calling to check on how he did. Then I find out he really was getting me to sign up for magazines. He said it would help my credit which is the only reason I agreed. Now I come to find out they have given my information away to other magazine companies and charging my account. I switched my cards and although I receive my magazines I no longer want them if my info is being shared. I've tried canceling several times but I'm nervous if I call and tell them that they will hurt my credit? This company is ****! They should all be sued!
They called me and told me I had won a free getaway if I sign up to get 20 months of Magazines for 49.90 a month. Being in need of a vacation, I agreed and went along giving them my information (****** me!) They charged me the first $49.90, but then (thankfully) I lost my bank card, had to cancel it, and get another one, with a new number. This caused them to call me repeatedly, first from random numbers which were "not in service" when I tried calling them back moments after I received the call. Then they s****ed calling my from "unknown numbers" about 5 times before I finally was at my phone to pick up...They said I needed to pay them since my account was overdue, and to call customer service to set up a payment plan. This number they gave me says " the feature code you entered is not valid." The next time they call me, I plan on telling them I know they are a scam and I have filed a complaint a***nst them, and to stop calling me.
I got the same call and was told a week later that it could not be canceled. They only take $30 a month! But I do get the magazines. I was told that I could c****e the magazines that I get at anytime but now I cannot contact the company!
I recieved two calls on my cellular phone from this company from two different representatives, they were the more educated form of telemarketer that had been sold my name, address and phone number by some other company. I would recommend ****ing up immediately after rudely telling them never to call a***n.
They called me over the phone and said that I won free magazines and that they will be mailed to my house which they already had the adress. They also told me that I can pick another magazine and not get charged because it was a gift but then they asked for my name as it appeared on my card and I didn't then he told me to tell him myexpiration date and Said that millions of people have the same expiration date so it wasn't important. Soon as he went into details about what he needed I told him to cancel everything and he said he did but there was a fee of $49.90 taken out of my account!!! It's a scam!! My advise c****e your card they can't charge you ever a***n!!
Offered to renew Consumer Reports magazine subscription for $26/yr for 4 yrs (total = $104.00). Credit card was charged and subscription was not renewed.
It is a SCAM. The address is not correct. The order # also varies from letter to letter. There is no supervisor and if yopu insist on speaking to one they **** up. And they threaten like ****s. But dont get scared. They are a bunch of low lying cheap scammers.
Fraudulant business practice and you can't find them any where. They somehow have you information. And because they don't have an address listed you can't file with the BBB. Out right SCAM!
these ****s called me saying my bank reffered them!they had all my information already. they told me they were going to take out 49.90 for three months and now it is c****ed to 20 months. THIS IS A SCAM
DO NOT TRUST!!! Right now they are calling themselves "Readers' Service" but they've gone by several different names and also have multiple address that don't match up with their name. I don't know how they keep getting away with this!
I recieved a Call from a magazine subscription seller On the mail I recieved the address(was supposedly) 357 East Maiden Street- Suite 303 Washington, PA 15301 after doing research I found that there is no address at that location known as Readers' Service.. I never got to speak with the supervisor but her name given by the customer service was Lucy Jamison. She was always unavailable. The number is 1-866-954-3955. This was a SCAM to get me to pay $ 49.90 for 20 months for a total of 5 magazines. Totaling up to be $ 998.00.
Said they wouldn't take money out of my acccount. I called the next day and canceled it. The lady would not give me her name. She said it was cancelled and ***g up. Next day I see more money pending to be taken out of my account. This is crazy and now I have to go to my bank and file a dispute!!!! Trust me, no one trust them, they take money, it's ludicrous!!!!!
been taking 79.93 from my mothers checking account, she didn't give this info to them.
Called my wife saying they had some parenting magazines for her. The took 29.90 out of our account 15 times, overdrafted it and the company will not answer the phone. They always say they are closed. I told my wife to not do this. Chase is our bank and says this is common with this company.
MAGAZINES 8669543955 stole $29.90 from my bank checking account. reported to my bank and its under investigation. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION ! ! !
this company had my debit card number and my name and address and charged 50.00 to my account without my permission. so now my account was overdrafted. idk how they got my information, they told me my bank gave it to them, but that obviously not true. they need to be stoped. NOW!!!
