Leave a CommentI received two text messages within a week from 866-262-9608 (Career Network) asking me to call them about a PR****istant job I applied for. I found this VERY strange that a****ential/legitimate employer would text message a candidate about a job. Who does that?? I was curious, so I called from a landline and it mentioned the company Career Network (weird I never applied for a position with that company) and asked me to hold for the next representative. Once someone was available she/he said they would need my cell # to pull up my online application. I immediately ***g up. I've applied to so many positions that I can't even keep up anymore, but I knew for sure this was a SCAM!! I googled the company and I found all these complaints. So glad I trusted my instincts! I'm just worried about what they***** they are doing with my resume! People are worthless and pathetic. It's a shame!
Just received a text message from 866 861 6123, telling me to call about a job. I think it is strange that anyone would contact you by text, instead e.mail or phone. The lady SOPHIA, would not give any information about who they where, other than her name.Only they needed to ask question to verify my job application??????.I was very unconformable about the whole thing. After looking on line trying to find out more info, I am very concerned that people who are looking for a job, have to put up with people who are running scrams!!! I found out that they are career-network and that other people on line have had the same issues.CARE ANYONE text message from 560-30 asking to call 1 866 861 6123 about a job.
i received the text message about a warhouse job, so i called and the lady said it will take 5 - 45 min as soon as i said i am not interested in furthering my education the conversation was over. so to make sure she was taking notes i waited 15 min and called a***n but this time was my turn ta ask questions about the job boy the idiot who answer the phone said the same thing then i told him that i should be in file already and he was not happy especially when i asked about the details of the job. bottom line these companies are more of a marketing organizations who try to steal your money.
I called the number. It sounds similar as the others. I never gave out any personal information like SSN and DOB so I don't feel like I am in danger or anything. Still it was lame.
I got the message for network support engineer position, a kind of wierd text message from employer, hhaha. Totally scam....
I knew the text message was a bunch of **** as soon as I read it. It said to call the number for a job I supposedly applied for. It makes no sense at all for a company to send a text message instead of an email or actually calling about a job. I really hope ***ody falls for this. This is the same as companies asking for you to fill out a credit report to get a position. It really ****es me off that these scammers are trying to take advantage of people trying to find jobs! Anyway here is another number from the same company. Be careful.
I called them, sa****ing i was told that the whole process will take 5-45 mins, thne immediatley i undetsood, if company need to contact me, they should have sent e-mail or phone call. i ****ed up
I got a text from careernetwork as well from this number. I googled the number and this is what I found. So glad I did that instead of calling.
I was told it was an admin****istant job. From career network ... I texted stop to the service provider
I did call the number, most likely out of sheer curiousity. I was told that the process can take between 5 & 45 mins. I was asked basic name, address, phone number questions, then I was asked about my education level and if I planned on continuing to which I answered no. The conversation was short after that and I was told by "Debbie" that she was sending my resume to the company hiring for the HR****istant job and hoped that I would get the job.Although I knew there was so****ing strange, I just had to know what kinda of thing this was.
I just received 2 texts from this number about a Receptionist position. I did a Google look-up before calling because this just seems too weird. After reading these messages, I am glad I did not respond.
I just got one of these too, telling me to call about an administrative****istants job. I have been applying for that kind of work, so obviously someone set up a ***** posting on monster or hot jobs. I knew it was a scam right away, but it's annoying.
why would someone text about a job, I too felt like it was a scamcaller ID: Careernetwork. I did not respond
I didn't like the "feel" of a text message with a bizarre code instead of a real phone number and the unfamiliar name CAREERNETWORK. FYI Careernetwork can resolve to a couple different websites that ARE selling schooling. When you reply to the message as directed, STOP and send the message, you will get a response from celltrust.com verifying the stop message. News is, celltrust.com is a MARKETING COMPANY that is getting your cell number from a variety of sources, and one of those who GAVE your number could be your cell provider! There is not a readily available list of ALL the clients without "signing up", but I did see Sprint and ATT as "clients".
Got a text message from 866-962-1448. I suspect it is a scam.
Received a text message about a job..... very su****ious to text instead of calling about a legit job. I just erased the text.
This message was sent at 5am and said to call this number about a job I had applied for, but the position was ***ue and not so****ing I remember putting an application in for.
The message said about a warehouse job or txt stop to cancel.
