Leave a CommentI signed up for this free trial offer back in march and then cancelled WITHIN the trial period. 4 months later, i received a 99.99 charge on my account. called this number, and the same girl always answers. She said i needed a cancellation number, which after 4 months i thought i no longer needed, and they wouldnt stop charging without it. the next month they charged me 99.99 twice within two weeks!!!! I called and the same girl answered and even remembered me cause i bugged them so much and said she would cancel it and stop the payments, and she even gave me a cancellation number. That was in October 2009. Now in Jan 2010, i got another 99.99 charge!! I called a***n and a guy said that i did in fact cancel in October so they'll refund it. It's been 5 days since that call with no refund. It's obviously a well planned scam. I'm convinced the only way around this is close the checking account and open a new one.good luck to anyone
In March 2009, I found a charge on my debit card from FFAO (Freedom From Alcohol) for 99.99, called the bank and had the charges reversed, then I looked at my April 2009 bill and "99.99 from same company, a***n. I know I didn't order there product, and when I called the number I get an answering service, well today I got a nice young lady that told me I have to file a police report to actually stop thesee recurring MONTHLY payments. Looks like it is time to c****e the debit card number.
Found a charge on my debit card from yes****ay for 3.99 from Online Edu referencing this phone number and stumbled across this post in doing research on it. I know I didn't initiate a relationship with them in any way, and when I call the number I get a fast busy signal...and it is 1 am! I know they aren't busy. I just wanted to find out the business name, and now I know I did not sign up for anything remotely like this. Looks like it is time to c****e the debit card number. Beware!
I called the number back and a human answered, "Customer service."I said "Hello" just to make sure. She was nice and polite and said Hi. I asked her what companie I called and she said it is Strategy Career Services. I asked why they would be calling my phone and she said because I was inquiring on their website about a medical billing course. Unless they took my information from a resume board, they had no way of obtaining my info.I asked her if I gave her my number and name would they stop calling. She said yes and took me off of her call list.Easy.
