Got a call from "Card member services" about a new offer that would save me 2500 dollars and lock in an interest rate on my credit cards for 5.49%. Since the call was from card member services I thought that was a legit deal. I thought it was a little fishy then but after talking to Matthew Franklin (8009598906 x1005) three separate times with the reassurance that it was card member services, I gave them 995 dollars and asked them to mail me the packet. Today I get a cheap looking packet from Genesis Capital Management not card member services. Instantly a red flag went up, the packet described only that I would save 2500 nothing about the 5.49% interest rate that I was really sold on. I looked online after their website didn't work I found this. I am not ready to cry scam, but I am ready to say that they have used deceptive business practices to get my business. I will be calling the number listed above and hoping that a person with a little integrity will explain to me what my 1000 dollars went toward. Plus I am on the do not call list, this is the first telemarketer to call me in over a year.
