Leave a CommentI just got a call from 'Bob Jones' at Worksaveretire. Glad I didn't answer the phone!
Bob Jones, Mary Smith, ha! Can you get any more generic sounding names? Glad I have google. Same experience as above. Irritating and disappointing when you get a message about your resume and get this ****! I have my resume on monster and careerbuilder and I never give out my cell to anyone unless I know them, but I do have it on my resume. Grrr!!
left a cryptic VM saying to get in touch with them but no company info, no other info...very disceptiveI did just repost my resumeon careebuilders too, daily emails form peopel asking me to contact them but no professional info...I dropped Monster.com because of **** like this
Received a call from "Barb" after my husband posted his resume on Careerbuilder. Had to push to get her to give me her company name which is "Work Save Retire". Asked if it was insurance and she said they are a recruiting firm and his resume was "forwarded" to her from Careerbuilder. She asked to have him call her back at 866-994-0381 but she was calling from 919-439-3666. Obviously a scam and he won't be calling her back.
Got the same call and wanted to meet at my house. I said no so they want to meet on Monday by the hosiptal. Had to do the retirment plan to get into the program. I too posted my resume on Career Builder yes****ay. Man people **** when your down on your luck. Got down sized yes****ay SCAM
I got the same call, I looked up the number on google. Thanks for your comment it has saved me from calling back and going through all of the frustration.
Got the same message as others from "Mary Smith" sounded recorded so I didn't return the call, but looked up the number - I was su****ious of the computerized sounding voice.
Yep...basically the same identical scenario. Thanks Me for posting. It is sad that in addition to finding work during this difficult economy, one must deal with such individuals and companies. It is no wonder we aren't all prematurely gray.
You know have left me messages twice at work. I cannot call you back and looked up your number and apparently this is some sort of scam, not interest in me or my resume at all. I'm asking you to please stop calling me immediately. Thank you.
I got the same message on my answering ma****e from Mary Smith. When I tried to call the number back it wouldn't even ring through.
I got a similar call from Mary Smith and she left the 866 number. I called back and got a totally different person who said she was taking Mary's calls. I got the spiel about the job search but no specific job to fill. To be part of their program I was told that would have to meet with a financial advisor in my area. They wanted to come to my home. When I said no she suggested meeting in a li***ry. When I suggested that anyone who was in a business like recruiting that did not have a physical office to meet clients in was not a professional organization. I spent about 15-20 minutes with this person and when she indicated they wanted to send me an e-mail with a link to their site alarm bells went off. Maybe they are sending a virus or a trojan horse. In the end the phone went dead so I****umed this sales person ***g up. The BBB gives them a B- rating. The company is in Minesotta. The information on the BBB site indicated they sold insurance. I'm staying away from these folks. Sounds liks some sort of scam.
Same old, same old. I've placed my resume on a job board and "Mary Smith" has called me twice asking me to call her back on (866) 994-0381. The recording of the call gives her number as (919) 439-3666.I called the number to see who was messig with me and the representative who answered ***g up when I asked her who the company was and why they were calling my number. Looks like she didn't wish to share their claimed "vast network and years of industry experience" with me.Me
Caller left a recorded message from "Mary Smith" saying she has questions about my resume (which was posted on a job board). The caller ID said 704-612-2477, but the recording said to call "Mary Smith" at 866-994-0381.
"Bob Jones" eh? My cell phone voice mail was left by "Mary Smith." Yeah, she wanted to talk about my resume. I won't be calling them back. Obviously trying to sell me so****ing.
SCAM - They are telemarketing my phone# everyday with "work-save-retire" ads. I had posted my Resume and phone# on Careerbuilder.
Yep. I have been getting several calls from them too. You can tell it a sophisticated call center set up. SCAM.
Same call, they gave me a recruiter who gave me access to resume software and a job finder gadget that have really helped me with my search. The recruiter has also been helping me with strategies for my search that have really been working. Still dont have a job but I've had several interviews and much more response out of my resume.
Same experience and sequence of events.....except I didnt return their call
The number is from an org called work save retire. I posted my resume on CareerBuilder and a few other sites and s****ed getting unsolicited emails from various head ***ting and less than scrupplous sounding individuals - price you pay for exposing yourself on the interwebs I guess. Then yes****ay, Bob Jones called from the above number and left a message saying they wanted to speak with me about my resume. I called Bob this morning and got his v-mail, so I left a message asking him to get back to me. When I got home this afternoon, Teresa from Work Save Retire left the same message as Bob. I figure their just mining the job boards looking for people to prey on. No idea what their deal is since we keep missing one another, but they're either trying to sell my services for a bit off the top or a finders fee, or they're up to so****ing nefarious. Their website http://worksaveretire.ning.com/ doesn't give me much encouragement. Good luck!
Got a call. Answered and they ***g up.
Guy named Bob Jones said he was with Work so****ing Retire and wanted to speak with me about my resume.
