We have a small contracting company in Bay St. Louis, MS. We were contacted by a MR. David Morgan and John Taylor on June 10th,  older men over the phone.  He stated he was an attorney with " Morgan, Stern and Taylor Legal Services" out of Fort Lauderdale FL ,they were a commercial litigator service. They stated they could collect a more than $50,000 debt that was owed to us by contractors STC construction & Debco Construction. Mr. Morgan stated he had access to software and legal ways to not only see****ets in these accounts but freeze their****ets. Mr. Morgan stated he need $5,000.00 to secure the transaction. My husband completed a check by phone for the $5,000 on June 13th. He also returned paperwork to an address (5722 S. Flamingo Rd. Fort Lauderdale). Mr. David Morgan has yet to be heard from and we have no money collected. After several attempts to contact the "so Called legal services" i have only gotten young disrespecting individuals mocking our southern accent, laughing at us, imitating different people, verbally threating us and mostly not answering the phone. I tried to research the group on line and there was nothing. Neither David Morgan nor John Taylor is an attorney through the Florida Bar****ociation. It is just a scam praying on contractors already effected by Hurricane Katrina. Its bad enough we have to fight low life contractors who don't want to pay their subs but now we have to worry about "attorneys" taking our own money right out of our hand! What happened to m****s? Where were the parents of these individuals? I know we will probably never see our money, these young kids are probably partying it up in Miami with our money! Hope fully other contractors will be smarter than us and check out anyone wanting money up front.My research on line did raise some questions though: One of the numbers for MST legal services (954-578-4029)goes back to a SWAN KNIGHT at 9994 *** Hill Ct. Sunrise, FL 33351, other numbers, (954-578-4066/578-4006/all the other numbers were unlisted. Also There was a few rippoff reports on a MST Financial in Bolder CO and MST Check Services in Tampa FL with Michelle Morgan-Tucker , Lee Tucker, also a David Morgan &****ociates in Tampa, I think they all might be connected somehow. Please contact us for more information we want justice!

I have been receiving daily calls from this number most of which are just on my caller id as I disconnected the answer ma****e; today I did answer and a man id'd himself as "Shawn Phillips" from Legal Affadavits and stated it was a law firm.  I asked who the attny was and he kept ignoring my question; everytime he said so****ing I would just say Who is the attorney at this law firm"  Finally, he gave up and put someone else on the phone who would not give me his name.  I a***n asked who the attorney was and he answered David Morgan.  I said good, now our federal government will have so****ing to go on as I have reported this harassment; I told him just keep talking so that hopefully the call could be traced; I put the phone down, when I picked it up; they had ***g up.  No more!!!

These people call me all day every day at work.  I don't answer any more.  I agreed to pay them at some point, but then couldn't fulfill my promise.  It was a good thing.  About a month later I got a letter from a real collection agency for collection of the debt.  I am sure that if I had paid them it would have noting to do with actually paying the debt I owed.  These people somehow find out about amounts owed that have been written off/turned over for collections and then use a lot of scare tactics to get you to send them money.The last time I spoke with one of them they told me to be prepared for 'what would unfold upon me' and their agent would be coming to get me at my place of work.  I'm still waiting!

These guys just called me a***n at work.  Told them to send me written confirmation of this debt and reminded him I told them not to call me at work.  Logan Kimball got nasty and told me to f---off.  I will be contacting FTC, Secret Service and better business bureau.

I am getting the same types of calls and they are calling my relatives too.  I spoke with someone from the Secret Service who is already investigating these "people".  Hopefully they will be shut down soon.  My advise would be to tell them that you have contacted the secret service and that they will be in contact with them soon.

My advise is to not send these people any money.  Contact the original creditor and see if you can pay them.  Chances are these are not even the ones who have your account.  I made the mistake of sending money to another group in 2006, now 2 yrs later these people are calling me.  Same threats, but this time I have contacted an attorney who deals with consumer rights.  They have broken every kind of law there is with the Fair debt.  I'm guessing even if you send them money that your debt will not be paid back.  If you feel that you have paid it, then you very well may have.  I so****ings think these crooks have a way of finding out when someone has a payday loan or someother kind of loan and try to scare them with jail etc just to get some money out of them then they pocket it.  You will not go to jail and ***ody will come arrest you.  My best bet is they can't even prove you owe money which is why they won't verify anyting.  Contact a lawyer for consumers rights, they will help you.

I have received several calls from Leo ***ers.  I believe that the first time I spoke to him he stated he was calling from Atty Generals office in Florida.  I was then threatened with having my name downloaded in court system in my local city and better retain an attorney.  I was threatened that I needed to make payment on an account that  I truly thought was taken care of.  He stated that I did need to take care of this and to fax letter to him stating that amount would be paid by certain day.  I asked him to please send me info as to where this is being wired to and stated that he did not have to inform me of this.  I was terrified when I spoke to him and stated that I would fax all info over.  If this company is on the up & up then why do they have to threaten people to ***** and why will they not accept some type of agreement to make installment payments?  I have decided not to fax him letter confirming payment etc and would like to find out how to pay this in an installment matter

Had this number call our business 8 times within the last 15 mintues, asking for an employee we do not have. Told them each time that she was not an employee of ours, and the person continually became more and more aggitated. We recorded the last several calls for our verification. The person sounded like he was from Indan decent and extremely rude. Told me that my voice was now being recorded and continued to ask to speak with my manger, which I refused.

Just got a call from 866-998-0981, was some Indian guy that was trying to get me to validate a bogus SSN and a bogus address.  Got pretty testy when I wouldn't tell him anything.  Told me to go to***** and ***g up on me. :-)  Definitely sounds like a collection agency.

I returned their call once.  They called from 786-866-2982, then they s****ed calling from 954-678-9724 and now the 866 number.  Told me that they were filing charges a***nst me and asked me how I wanted to take care of the debt.  That they had been investigating me for 2 months.  It was a debt with US National Bank.  I asked them to send me bill in writing, they send they sent it to my email account (never got it)  They call me at least 3x a day and leave messages wanting me to call a 312 number.  I save their messages but I dont return their calls 'anymore'.  Fell for it once, never a***n.

Called my daughters' cell asking for "Emantha". Said she was his cousin and she had a habit of giving out the wrong number. He then s****ed asking if I knew her when he could not even spell the name.

Called serveral time yes****ay afternoon and evening, never left message and call back # on caller id no good. Finally took call and talked to them, said they were looking for my son and unless I cooperated they would sue me and said he would continue to call me until he got the information from me. Said I better get a lawyer. He told me why they were looking for my son and when and where the debt occurred, real collection agency cannot and would not tell you that nor threaten to sue you. I was a certified collector. I knew it was a scam but continued to question him. His name was Leo ***ers ( made him spell it) from David Morgan and****ociates, but he refused to give address other than was calling from Winter Garden Florida.

These people are a royal pain.  I know they are a scam.  Unforutnately a few years ago I fell for it and paid them but they were operating under Ellis Crosby and****ociates.  I tell them I have no intention of giving them anything and they are wasting their time calling me and I think it makes them call more.  So, I just ignore their calls when I see the different numbers they use to call on different days.  The bad thing is, they somehow got my parents phone number where I used to live and are now harrassing them.  Is their anything that can be done to get them to stop?

They call me at work about 15 times a day and never leave a message-i answered once and put them through to the FL attorney general and listened in-some guy from India wanting money the lady at the atty generals office told him to stop calling but he continues to call my job and i don't answer.

not sure if its the same shysters from David Morgan &****ociates but they call my cell about 10 times a day and dont leave messages
