Leave a CommentCODE-X-ONLINE AKA code-x-online.com 870-330-0621 is a fake front company. They are part of a large group of fraudulent websites processing hijacked card data into cash. The operation is ran by a multi year organized crime syndicate operating from Eastern Europe. The fake sites are set up exclusively to process stolen card data, and launder the charges into cash. The stolen funds have been tracked being wired out of US banks to various banks in Latvia, Bulgaria, Kyrgstan, Cyprus and other locations. Some of the stolen funds have ended up in the Ukraine. This organized crime syndicate recruits cyber-mules either through fake job adds, or by targeting online posted resumes at careerbuilder.com, Monster, etc. They masquerade as legitimate software companies from various countries in Europe. The duped cyber-mules are then instructed to set up domestic LLCs / Corps, open a business bank account, and obtain merchant gateway processing services specifically through authorize.net. The crime syndicate manages the****ociated hidden website, and uses the services set up by the cyber-mules to launder hijacked credit cards into cash. Every single charge processed via these sites are from stolen card data. It is estimated that they may process 2 million cards a year, and may have 40 to 50 fraud sites operating at any given time.If you receive a charge from one of these fraud en***ies, it is imperative that you report the charge as FRAUDULENT, and cancel and replace the card number. They will keep charging it, also, check your prior statements for small fraud charges that may have been missed. Note, sparecapital.com is also ran by this same organized crime syndicate. In addition, please file a report at http://www.ic3.gov/complaintCODE-X-ONLINE is specifically addressed on this page: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r19620593-Ebo ... r=code-x-onlineThe complete story of this long running muti-year criminal organization is do***ented here: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r19620593-Ebo ... This appears to be a scam. I had a $4.95 unauthorized charge from Code X and my CC company removed it. Also had a fraudulent charge from sparecapital.com a couple months ago. Looks like they may be related.
I noticed a $2.95 charge on our credit card from Code-X and could not identify it as being valid.I searched the 870-330-0621 phone number which was listed on the statement and found an unlisted/unavailable number from Texarkana, ARI reported it to the fraud department of our credit card.
My credit card account was scammed by both sparecapital.com and code - X: however, I disputed the charges with the bank that issued my card, and the sparecapital.com charge has already been removed. The letter disputing the code - X charge has just been sent, but I expect that charge to be removed from my account also.
Stole $2.95 via a charge a***nst my credit card.
Charged my account $2.95 after a stay at a Holiday Inn Express in Durham NC, may not be related.
They didn't call me either but my debit card was randomly charged $2.95.
They never called me, but I saw this number on my bank statement. I never made a purchase with them. They fraudulently charged my account $4.95. I have no idea how they even got my card number.
By the way, CODE-X dinged me for $6.95 as well.
Yep ... just like Sparecapital.com about four months ago (where I was fraudulently "dinged" for $4.96 on my Visa), this appears to be another such outfit. This will be the third such event in the past 14 months. Time to cancel the card, I reckon.
Totally just robbed my credit card for 6.95. It said it was for "Code-X" some online gaming thing.
