Leave a CommentThis is a scam. I called the number, and the person was asking for information. I didn't give anything. He even ask for my phone number. I told him, don't you suppose to have that on your screen? It was weird because he was saying, well you could have a card with a store serviced by Citibank. I said, no! I don't have any cards with Citibank and then ***g up! - Guys, this is a phising call for information. Don't give your name at all. I then called Citibank's fraud department and they verified that this number does not belong to them. For all those people that still think it is a legit number, then tell me why does this number appear on phising emails for AT&T as well? Just got a call from this number and they stated they are from att yellowpages cancellation dept...
Call is ligit. Citibank mcard fraud dept
This is a legit number for a division that handles early fraud detection. It gives you an access # so you can retrieve your message. I would recommend skipping this extraneous step and calling the number on the back of your credit card so that you can take care of the matter then and there with no reservations about being scammed.
