Leave a CommentIt's probably Macy's Credit. They sound fishy when they call and they seem evasive. Best thing is to take your Macy's Credit Card or in store account statement and call the customer service number found there. Your account may be over due.

12/12/10 - Phone # 877 222 5857 called my elderly in-laws identifying herself as Shana Wall. She knew the amount of their last billing on their Macy's account, & after telling them the correct amount, told them she wanted to make some adjustments to their account, requesting credit card information. They didn't give her any information and called us.........when my wife called the # back, the 877 222 5857# answered - Credit Services - and asked which account we were calling about. She ***g-up without pursuing it further.
Got another call today from same number, this time from a "Ms. Weatherford". I screen my boss's calls and this woman just kept saying it was "personal business" even after I let her know that if she won't be more specific then he'll never call her back. Hopefully, they will stop calling!
Jennifer Cosmic called for my boss. She said to give message to call back right away regarding "personal business."
Today they called me and spoke with husband and told him to have me call them back at 877-222-5857...Other people have been getting these calls too (google the number)...and they been told the caller is from Macy's Star Rewards program and that their account is overdue and asking them to pay the balance over the phone, to provide their account number to them. Fortunately the people have been smart enough not to provide any info to these scam artists...you should never have to provide your account number to someone who has called you...definitely a scam!
