Going to a specific (legitimate) website, a pop-up appeared freezing my screen with multiple messages about a viral infection, and it gave me this phone number to call. It "implied" that the number was connected with Microsoft, but nothing positive. I did not call that number: the risk red flag was waving fast. I had to shut down the computer to recover.
