I do apologise, that was me enjoying a sage moment. I always get carried away if I even remotely suspect the opportunity to indulge in a *********, be it telephonic or *****ic.

All you have to do is call them back and ASK THEM for the last four digits of the ssn of the person from whom they are trying to collect the debt. If these numbers are not yours (as they were not in my case) you can let them know they have the wrong person and they'll stop calling (hopefully). Don't give them any personal information. I have a very common name and have been living with this sort of phone call for years. I usually ignore it until I get so stressed out that it might be me, that I call back. A***n - you don't have to give them any info - they will give it to you.

I got the same phone call today and I was not home. I think this is a SCAM

I received this message last weekend. And receiving one for someone else. Everybody's response confirms to me this is a scam. If they call back, I'm going to do what someone else did and s**** asking for their SSN, DOB, and etc. Very Smart. I found a web page for this company and it looks absolutely fake. I've seen my****e pages look for legit than this page.

This is a scam and shady at that.Tell them you are under absolutely no obligation to give them your ssn, dob or anything else and if they call back you will report the phone number and them to the attorney general. And then DO!!!!

Hey all,I have had the same experience but I tried so****ing that I think worked. When they called me last they asked if it was me and I said yes. Then I cut them off and told them before we continue this conversation I will just need them to verify their social security #, date of birth, blood type and a photo of their first born child.. The caller was clearly confused and kept asking why I needed that and just gave them a taste of their own medicine.Finally when the  minimum wage paid genius on the other line caught on to my point, he ***g up the phone.Persistent and annoying?? Sure. Intelligent? I think not.Haven't heard from them since.

Yes, I got a similar recording and when I called with reference number they asked for my DOB. When I refused until I knew what the call was in regards to, the operator became angry and said well I can't tell you without that info. I flat out said no and he said, "well we'll just call you tomorrow." Is this even legal? I don't have debt and and am on the do not call register.  very frustrating

Iv received a number of calls from "the man with the british accent" from "william w segal &****ociateds" always asking for venessa butler.. this needs to stop!!  how do i stop them from calling??? how did they even get my number in the first place!?!?

answered a call at my elderly parents house while i was there. Asked to speak with my ***her, said he was not here could I take message, message was: call Carl with William W. Segal law firm at 877-247-6117. Asked what it was regarding, he stated personal business matter. BS people can get away with this!

My sister receive the same call and I called this number trying to find out whos is harassing my family under my name and they were rude trying to get personal information with out identifying themselves, I know your pain....

I have received a call from William W. Segal and****ociates  in regard to a contracting company that they are trying to collect a debt from.  The man speaking has a very British accent.  I am told to **** up if this is not the contracting company, then the man goes on to say I should call 877-247-6166.  He also gives me a reference number for this call.  I have now received two calls and have not called the number given to me.

This call was simiar to others on here.  The man had a strong British accent and said that owed a debt to William W. Segal and****ociates.  He gave another number to call back, but I'm not going to.  I don't owe anything so I'm just going to ignore it.  I****ume if it's so****ing serious then they'll send me so****ing.

I s****ed tracing a ********* of crank callers named William W Siegel and****oc, CBE Group, and Mitchell N Kay, with legal counsel Wes Welch, Park River ND 58270, 1-701-284-7833, 701-284-6876.They claim that Elliot and/or Ella Jordan owe money to someone. Over several months the phone calls are repeated, and I am not Elliot or Ella, and they will not identify where they got  my phone number.An illegal tapper? impersonator?, etc.

My fiance's parents received a call from this number about me and when I called the number back the woman I spoke to had no information on me what so ever. It was very disturbing and I dont understand how they got my fiance's parents home phone number in reference to me. PLease beware and protect yourself.

I have received a call from this number a few times a week for months. The message when I call back says William W Siegel and****ociates- the person on the message has a fake British accent. They ask for a Jason Wilson and make threats on every message- that is pre recorded. I owe no one money. I have no dealings. This is blatent harassment. This is in fact in conflict with the fair debt collections protection act. Sometimes on the message they leave a different number to call and when you do it is a different organization. When you dial the extension and attempt to leave a message you can't. This is a scam and should not be allowed!!!!!!!!

Left a message on answering ma****e while I was outside getting the mail.  Said if I wasn't "person of interest", **** up.  Answering ma****e didn't **** up of course.  Continued with "since I didn't **** up, I was verifying I was the person of interest".  That person doesn't live here.  Obviously an amateur.

i got a call from this number and when answered no one was there, called them back and they said they had my number for someone else. bunch of crock they are just annoying

Caller was insistent on talking to me without telling me who they were. It was obvious to me its a scam. Claimed they were calling for a Mitchell Kay Firm, I have no dealings with this person and have recieved nothing in the mail indicating that I owe anything to this so called firm. I don't know who these people think they are, but its really disgusting. Send so****ing in the mail and be legitimate and don't bother calling people just to harass them for no reason.
