I was sent an email claiming I had a debt and they were willing to settle - but the message did not include how much I owed or what they were willing to settle for.  At the top it claimed to be from Jacobson &****ociates and had this contact info: PO Box 1241, Amherst, NY  14228, Fax:  716-828-8987, Toll Free:  877-397-9471A Google search and I found this website: http://www.jacobsonandassociates.biz which had 877-252-0617 as a contact number.About the same time I got this email I'd been contacted by verbally abusive people from India (or with thick such accents) from 206-855-5250 and 619-704-9335.  Both of those I confirmed are connected - one outfit.  Organized crime.  Demanding electronic payment and threatening with legal action but refusing to show proof of their claims a***nst me.*snark - yea right...I don't think so.

This is highly illegal activity - these people have some of your information and want more of it to steal your money. They don't really have a valid case a***nst you, any of you.  If they did they would conduct their business in a professional manner - call you once, tell you how much you owe, who the original debt was with, and what the ramifications could be if you don't pay - then, if you ask for proof of the legitimacy of their claim, they should offer a copy of your original loan agreement with your physical or electronic signature as proof that they have a legitimate claim a***nst you.Outside of that one phone call it is harassment - in any state.  I would suggest reporting them to the local authorities - open an investigation and let our tax dollars work for you.  Harassment is a crime and when a crime is being committed it is our right to have our elected and appointed officials follow up and investigate and prosecute such crimes.Do not give any more information about yourself and especially don't give your financial information.  They will insist that payment must be electronic or wired to them - because they are a scam and a fraud and cannot do business through any means that would leave a paper trail.  If they keep calling, keep ****ing up on them - they cannot do anything to you.  They do not have a legitimate claim a***nst you and cannot use any real authority a***nst you - all they can do is harass and threaten and try to scare you out of your money.  Don't let them win.  Eventually they will give up.

Got a call from this company and was told that the payday loan company turned me over to them for collections and that if I didn't pay they would take me to court.  Payday loan companies are illegal in North Carolina so can they legally take me to court?  I really can't afford to pay them but I don't want a civil lawsuit taken a***nst me.

A man has been calling me telling me he's from the pre-legal department of a firm and I was being charged with theft by deception for not paying an online payday loan.  I have told him to stop calling me at work.  Somehow he got my boss' number and told her I have charges a***nst me for fraud, and she confronted me about it.  Isn't this illegal?

I got a call from this number telling me they were investigators, and I was committing a money fraud. they said I have a balance of 518 from a loan. i borrowed 100 dollars from this company and they took the money back from my account and it put it into negative status. my girlfriend told them she would help me out and make minimum payments of $20 so I wouldn't go to jail. well they took the whole amount out of her account and she couldn't throw our daughter her first birthday. she is crushed. they are not trying to give her money back. Going to court for it.

Got a call this morning regarding my husband.  Said if a debt wasn't paid in 20 minutes, my husband would be charged with a felony.  Number 1, we didn't take out the loan and can prove it and we had already filed a police report regarding this issue.  It was fraud a***nst us.  We called the police and they said no one can call and make threatening statements.  The police are going to call them.  Tell your fiends to NEVER pay any of these people money!!  We have filed a report a***nst them here and with the State of New York.

this man at the  number called my  family telling them i had a warrant for me  i called he would tell me anything  said he would call my job??1-877-252-0617 ext 110

Received a call at work from Mr. Collins claiming to be a "Warrant Officer for New York".  Stated I committed fraud and that he was passing the information to my county for prosecution unless I pay out the amount owed.  Totally illegal especially posing as an officer.  Rich

Keep calling cell phone leaving harassing messages.  Wish they would stop.
