Leave a CommentSent a text saying that they were Navigator bank fraud hotline & I have a unauthorized charge on my account
I received a text message stating that $279.08 has been charged to my card ending in **** (the correct numbers) on eBay. If valid, reply YES, fraud, NO. I went through my bank account and found a fraudulent purchase from earlier in the month. I am on the phone with my bank now.
The text said they were fraud dept for our bank, and asked if XYZ charge was "valid" or "fraud". When I called the number, I was skeptical. I called my bank's and they confirmed a "questionable charge" had been attempted 3 timed in 60 seconds. I confirmed that it was fraudulent, and the declined the charge, and cancelled my card.
text said to call the fraud center 8772538962 it listed where the card had been used if valid reply yes or opt out ! Very concerning !!!!

freemsg {bank name} bank fraud center ...
I received a voice message AND text message saying that fraud was detected from EGLOBALCENTRALU. I DID NOT call back the number that was on the text message. But instead I called my bank. Three scammers tried to attempt to take over $200 in my account but my bank blocked it. I called my bank to talk to them about it and permanently shut down the card to get a new one.
I called my bank directly and they informed me this number is a legitimate fraud alert number handling multiple banks. Because of this number and calling my bank directly to verify its authenticity, my bank was able to cancel my bank card and issue me a new one.
They said there was fraud charges on my account. But there was nothing. They said they shut down my card.

Scammer, ask to call # due to possible fraud purchase. Prior to calling #, called bank to verify. They don't use third party banks for fraud purchase.
Called saying a charge was made on my card that looks su****ious. Asked for last four of my social. Got su****ious and called my bank. My bank said they do not use any third parties to make these type of fraud prevention calls. Person that called said the were calling from the Caribbean. Sounds like an attempt to get my personally identifiable information. A scam.
