Leave a CommentCaller claimed to be a public defender and requested money to bail out a relative. Call was made to elderly man who thought a family member was in trouble. Gave him directions on how to wire him the money. Thankfully we caught up to him before he sent the money.
That my grandson was in jail with a broken noise and needed money for bail. Told me to call a certain number and the phone call dropped.
Caller said he was a Public Defender. Wanted me to post a $4,000 appearance bond for my granddaughter who had been in a wreck. She had not been in a wreck! He ***g up when I asked what county he was in.
