Please do your due diligence with this company and any 1-877 number you receive a phone call from. The guy said he is with Norton and Associates Group. The number was out of California and I live in Virginia.

My son received a phone call from a private number saying they were looking for me in a court case. The number provided for me to call was from California. I called. He said they had process servers looking for me and there would be a lawsuit. I found that odd since i have received no mail or anything left in my door. He said I owed X amount but they would work with me to keep it from going to court. He said the debt could have been bought by a third party. When I received the email, there was no information about the original debt, who the third party might be and any other important details. It was simply paperwork for me to fill out and sign and send back to them. Paperwork from people I have never met that contacted my son. There is no website for them in Roanoke and no photos. I could not find any information on any lawsuit in the public record. The paperwork provided no details other than an agreement to pay and to fill out my credit card information. Too many red flags here.
