Protection one alarm company. Called me at 3:00 AM. Mother ***kers!
If you work for a company that uses ProtectionOne, and you're a manager (assistant manager, te****ical manager, etc) whenever ProtectionOne's sensors miss a connection, it automatically calls you. Therefore, if there is a sensor which detects "an open circuit", and there is dust on an optic sensor in your vents or so****ing, then that sensor can't detect smoke (in case of a fire). All the other sensors in the building don't indicate a fire, so the ProtectionOne people say "We are obligated to do so****ing, else we are seen as useless and negligent", so an auto-dialer calls manager after manager when it detects the tiny insignificant issue. The issue is usually caused by c****es in the HVAC, weather, etc. It's easily resolved. These calls are like a yapping dog for deaf people. You can't hear the door bell, but you can see the dog. Problem is, there's the mail man, the kid next door, the guy passing through the neighborhood in the car away from the house in the street- all very interesting to the yapping dog. Talking to the General Manager with a "Call me first" doesn't seem to work, because thier technology seems to order thier lists. So if your last name s****s with an A, or a B? you get picked first. Why? Because you're important. Your boss yells at you to show up on time and manage the employees, so you can do so****ing about the weather c****ing and constricting HVAC (Cold makes things expand) moving the optic sensor out from the lazer input which is supposed to be broken by the solidity of smoke, but since none of the other triggers for fire are set off, the fire department isn't called, and you get woke up at 5:50 in the morning. Solution? Custom ringtone of "silence" for me. Hope this helps!
