Leave a CommentI have recieved this message 4 nights in a row. I finally called back and asked them what it was regaurding they said they didn't know and couldn't help me until I gave my home phone number...I ***g up
I received a call from this company or w***ver. I would like to know if anyone knows who this is, asking information.
I have not even called them back and from reading the above I just want to go outside and break so****ing! Why can they get my,yours,or anybody's call history that's bulls**t at&t must not like having customers if they are letting cca call people that has never even been with them and make these people so MAD that there head explods. I am not with at&t and sure as***** never will be:( I say we collect all the numbers we can and flood there call center for 2,3,4hrs see how they like that Fin ****!
I see I'm in good company. I've been getting these calls for months. They as for a person whose last name resembles mine, but is not the same. The first name is not of anyone I even know regardless of the last name. I've filed a complaint with AT&T about harassing phone calls. What a surprise to learn that it is an AT&T surrogate calling! I received the same call (requesting same person, unknown to me, and same reference number) from another phone number, 877-528-3499.
I guess I'm feeling a bit gullable right now...I just got off the phone with a woman who was very nice and when she told me who they were trying to get a hold of, and I said I didn't know who that was that we have only had this phone number a couple of months, she did say she would put that in the computer file and the calls should stop. Reading the above, now I'm not sure, but I hope they stop. If they don't...I'll join the writing campaign. I've printed this page in case I need that company information. Thanks Frustrated from August 5th.
Let me just say thisI received the same type of voicemail asking to return the call ASAP "today" with a reference numberI called and they said it was in reference to a Thomas &*^%$*. Ok, that was my step ***her who passed away 5 YEARS AGO! I will be writing a letter! This is an invasion pf privacy to call family and friends by researcing call history to get numbers. What the hec****!!!!
I FINALLY HAVE ANSWERS!!!!Ok folks. I've been resear****g this ALL DAY. Here's my story. First, let me say that we have NO outstanding bills. I have been getting the automated calls, (for MONTHS) to call back at this #. "Time-sensitive matter...blah blah." Well, the name is not mine. The account is not mine. Same first name, same town but NOT ME! I have spoken to an actual person 4 times, telling them I am not the person they are looking for, nor do I know her. They always say they will take me off the list, and are VERY rude, and tight lipped about any information I ask for. But they Keep Calling!!! After gathering as much info as I could (from the automated calls telling me reference #'s) I decide the next time they call, I'm going to straighten it out for good. Sure enough, they call back, (they always do...) and I call the ****ed # and give them the "reference #" they left. I ask the lady who she works for. "CCA." I ask what that stands for. "Nothing," she says. (!!!) She won't tell me. I ask her name, won't tell me. She ends up ****ing up on me. This morning I call AT&T a second time. I tell them "CCA" has been hounding me for an outstanding balance that is not mine. I had called to find out if CCA was a scam (one call wouldn't give me a person, it just asked for my CREDIT CARD #!!!) No, AT&T uses them for collections, they are not a scam, and they are called "Collection Company of America." From googling "CCA collections" and clicking on the "Who's calling me" sites, I realize there is a TON of this going on. From MANY different 800/877 numbers. And they are ****ing me off. After digging (really deep, they are hard to find...) here is their website.http://www.collectioncompanyofamerica.com/CCA_About_Us.aspxWith a page on their "telecommunications" work and the name and email of the VP of National Client Development.http://www.collectioncompanyofamerica.com/Telecom.htmlA quote from their website:"It's not just collecting debt; it's collecting in a manner that best represents our clients while achieving superior performance levels."Candice O'Brien, VP of Operations I am going to write a letter to their CEO, and anyone else who will listen, AND I am going to file a complaint with AT&T. I have been a loyal customer for too long to have them outsource someone to harass me for a debt that isn't mine, and be yelled at, not responded to, and ***g up on. I hope you guys do, too.
they called my 2nd cousin in another state and a friend of my husband from college that i never met? these people are a joke, never got anycalls at home. i think its from my hubbys 1st wife at&t bill. But how i got connected ill never know, very scary!!!
Every Sa****ay at around 5:30 I get a recorded messageasking me to call this number 877-384-0290 and I am givenn account number, it begins with 99 and is asking for aMelody Hill?
I have been dealing with these people since I got my new cell phone number. I am listed on the "Do Not Call Registry" so I keep placing complaints from the numbers that they are calling from (they have numerous ones) and for every number I place a complaint on, they s**** calling from another number. I actually called back yes****ay and asked the name of the person that I was speaking with as he replied "This is CCA ma'am" and I told them that they had the wrong number and that if they did not stop calling, I would be placing a harassment claim on them, he then ***g up on me. I just received a call from this number now. It's seriously ridiculous.
I've been getting these calls at work, asking for somebody who doesn't work here. They've left several messages and once got me on the phone when I answered. I told them there is no "J. Flores" here, and they said, "OK, thank you." Got another message today so I googled the number and found out they're a collection agency. For the past half hour I've been calling them. After 3 minutes of ringing, I get a busy tone. Finally someone answered. Asked for my phone number. I gave them the reference number instead, and they insisted on the phone number. I gave it to them, and they said they'd remove it from their records. Let's see.
These people are using our calling records to annoy our friends and family. My sisterinlaw just called me to let me know that someone had called her looking for me. I haven't ever owed ATT, was never late on a payment and now I live where they do not have any business. Where is the next lawsuit?
My friend in Florida that I HAVE NEVER used for anything or given to anyone got a URGENT message about me. Then my husband got the same on his cell phone at work. No one called my house OR my cell number. I found out from google this is about AT&T because I know I owe them so****ing from years ago.. I looked it’s from 2001 and it’s for like 100.00. They lied to my friends and family saying I gave them as contacts and I was in trouble and even went as far as to tell my mother I was in urgent trouble and they needed all my information now. Scared her to *****! I called them back and I got NOTHING. No names of who I was talking to when I asked. Just CCA and the repeat asking of my SS#. I am not going to give information out about myself to some person being rude who wont tell me who they are what their name is or what their company name stands for or where they are located. I don’t care how much I owe it’s not worth all this drama. I looked them up on BBB they are not with them and have TONS of complaints. I hate these people already. Liars and scams!!
Received a call from this number for my nephew who has never lived with me. How they****ociated my number with him is beyond me...completely different last names. Anyway, called the number and the phone rang probably 15 times before anyone picked up. They were very polite when I told them that they had the wrong number and they even said they would take my number off from his contact info.
RECEIVED THIS CALL AND MESSAGE ALONG WITH REFERENCE NUMBER. TRIED CALLING BACK. FIRST TIME JUST RANG UNTIL IT DISCONNECTED. TRIED CALLING BACK AND COMPANY IS CCA / A COLLECTION COMPANY FOR AT&T. GAVE THEM MY REFERENCE NUMBER AND LO AND BEHOLD I HAD AN OUTSTANDING ACCOUNT BALANCE FOR A NUMBER THAT WAS DISCONNECTED 4 MONTHS PRIOR. THEY WORKED WITH ME TO MAKE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS. REP WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING THAT I ASKED.
Call came from CCA, called back, asked who would not identify who they were other than CCA. Even called me by a wrong name.
THE CALL CAME FROM CC THEY WERE A COLLECTION AGENCY IN MY CASE THEY WERE CALLING FOR AT&T
They called saying it was a time sensitive and urgent matter then listed this number twice to call back. Number said that the office was closed and to leave a message. Company called itself CCA.
Recorded message says so****ing about a time sensitive matter that needs settled today. The number above is given twice during the call. I called it back to tell them to stop calling me and there is no one in the office! Ha! Ridiculous! There was a voice message telling me to leave my name and number, then would get back to me! Company is CCA
I received this call with a message to call back. I called it back and they wanted my number a***n. They said they represented businesses.
