Leave a CommentCalled twice yes****ay neither time left a voice mail. Then sent me a text saying "I will call you back in a few minutes"
Wow, good info above. I got the call about a home business (which I was looking for), but told them I didn't have any money if they wanted me to pay for training or a website or anything. One thing I learned years ago in regards to the recording your voice for later use. Never Never, say the word YES. they will splice that into a conversation. I always use the word "correct" and several times have gotten someone trying to get me to say "yes" which to me sends up red flags right away.
Thanks for the 411!!
I received a call from this same phone number. They said they had a business opportunity to become a referral agent for Visa mastercard. The website they gave me was legitimate but anyone can send you to a website that maybe has nothing to do with them. I was leary so I never fell for it. I was scammed before so I try to be careful. All I can say is BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!! This comes from the voice of experience.
I am 73yrs old and they got me to. only I was a fool and they took me for $29.95 , the girl said her name was ****ey or nickee not sure, it was probley not her name I live on $797.00 a month so that really hurts me when trying to pay my bills
I bit for $495.00 and now am waiting for my credit card dispute resolution team to get it back. I was lax and didn't do my due dilegence BEFORE giveing them my credit card info.Mother warned me not to do business with anyone unless I initiated the contact to a known and reputable business. Scammers rely on your unwitting trust.
I got the same call this afternoon telling me that I could make $400 a day as a Visa/Mastercard Referal Agent. Glad to hear from you folks that confirms the scam status.
I received a phone call from 8774659191 about how to become a Mastercard and Visa referral agent. The recording said that I could make up to $400 a day. No experience was necessary and that full training would be provided. They said that I would get a free website, and the only thing I would have to pay is the $29.95 hosting fee. I don't think I want to join, since there is so many complaints a***nst this company.
Random Call
I too have received the recording stating $400+ day being a visa,mc referral agent, whatever that is supposed to be. What is a referral agent supposed to be anyway? Last I knew of, you are required to apply for credit cards. I figured this has to be a scam and I never called the number as I am also curious how this company got my number in the first place.
I took a **** and looked for the phone number 877 465 9191. Sure enough i FOUND it here !It sounded like a scam - right from the s****. Thanks for the great info. The point about " recording your voice and using it later " -- astounding. Keep up the great work.
I noticed so****ing wrong immediately when the man said listen very carefully this will not be repeated and then he repeated everything he said from that point on. I'm really glad that I checked it out here first.
VISA / Mastercard has said this to me regarding the referral agents, they all work in house at the main corporation and that phone number does not correspond to their company. They said they would make note of it and would like me and other to report it as a scam.A***n, don't call that number, if you get them on the phone when you answer, "Hello" or "Hi" is fine but don't say anything else. If you tell them to remove you off their list, they say they will but won't. They are running a boiler plate operation, that's not the only scam they are running, I've counted 24 different ones from that same phone number.
It's a scam, don't pick up the phone and don't call them or talk to them. They sample your voice, hoping to be able to get just the right voice samples so they can copy your voice with a computer program to authorize stuff that you obviously didn't. Contact the BBB, FTC, and your local Attorney General's office regarding scam calls. Since it's interstate the police will have very little to do with this problem, interstate problems that are criminal fall under the jurisdiction of the FBI however until you can prove it criminal they will tell you they have more important things to do.Call Type: Scam (please put that one in the call type drop down box)
It's a work at home opportunity as a VISA/Mastercard referral agent. Double check with your BBB to find out more.
Dude- quit trying to get these people to check it out. They won't do ANYTHING for you. They want you to give them like $400 for training supplies, $250 for a support team, $50/month for a membership fee, and $1000 to resserve your trip to candy mountain with charlie the unicorn. IT IS A SCAM. ***ody calls with limited information, or no answer, if they are legit. Just **** up or block the number. Anybody allying with these people are full of S**T. Go ahead- give them some money, they'll keep scamming you out of more and more and never even do anything for you. I'm guessing these are the same people who call from 877-208-6634. I never submitted my number to either of these groups, so I want to know WHY are they contacting me and how the f* did they get my number?! This is what I posted about the other number: "I'm tired of receiving calls from people I don't know. They called, and I answered, repeating "HELLO?" 3 times, with no answer until they ***g up on me. I heard a****or they want you to sell credit cards for $400/day, but thats bs. These people are scammers, they don't even answer their own calls, and they even are calling pre-teens. I don't know how they got a hold of my number, but they have no right to be wasting my time. QUIT CALLING"
