Scam, tried to get me, but I was skeptical. Do not answer this number or call this number back. Block instantly.
We got a call from this number also, saying it was UWCU's fraud department. We are always skeptical, so we googled the number and found this. We first contacted UWCU and it was in fact FRAUD. Someone got ahold of my husband's debit card number and racked up about $1000 worth of charges! Luckily, the fraud department stopped all but one payment, which we have to send in an affidavit of fraud.Long story short... The number is VALID! Call them and get it taken care of!
This is legit. They do this randomly. Yes, it seems really sketchy and I wish it were a live person, but this is the way the UW does it. However, if you, like me, are uncomfortable with it call a UW ***nch as soon as they open to verify this is legit.
SCAM!!! Don't listen to "dustin," I am sure he is affiliated with the company. Do not answer this call or give them your credit card number.
I've had this number call me too! Call UW Credit Union's number on the back of your card and make sure that it's them. They told me this number was a scam, and that you should never enter your number into an automated service.
Very legitimate; made a purchase of $550+ and got a call within an hour to verify charges.
