Leave a CommentAirfares are the price you are quoted if you want to buy Airline TICKETS. I can get Airfares for free over the phone. No thanks.
I too got the "Birthday" card telling me I was chosen to receive an 8day/7night Carnival cruise AND 2 round-trip "Airfares"...wth are Airfares? Spam/scam credit card thieves.
Received a "Happy Birthday" letter. Nowhere in the letter do they disclose the business name, but they do use the Carnival Cruise logo. The "gift" is an 8-day/7-night cruise for 2. There was also a "bonus gift" of 2 round-trip airfares. Major spammer/scammer with quite a history (see other comments).
I too received a Happy Birthday greeting in the mail with no return address or name on the card. It stated alot of freebies such as Laptop/Notebook, $300 at Walmart or Target and travel vouchers with no stipulations or rules.
I just got a flyer in the mail with this number saying I won a Touchpad and gift cards from Expedia and Target. Funny that there is no return address or company name anywhere on the literature. Old rule of thumb...if it sounds to good to be true, it isn't.
Its a Travel Club Scam. Just got another "Congratulations " in the mail today. Listed below is what happened to us last year. We're still trying to get our money back!! This what is sent to the Alabama Attorney General. ---Info about complaint---Firm Name: Destinations UnlimitedAddress: 3817 Gulf S****s PKWYCity, State, Zip: Gulf S****s, AL 36542-2281Phone: 251-948-5013---Details---Date of incident: 8/14/2009Did they sign a contract? NoComplaint Description:Cancellation of Travel Club Contract. High pressure sales tactics to mislead us abut travel club services. False adverti*****t.ON 14 Aug 2009 my wife and I attend an presention in Gulf S****s, Al. We were offered a free vacation to attend.(Received this in the mail). We didn't do any research before we went because we were NOT going to sign up/buy and anything. The presentation (Destinations Unlimited) was for a Travel Club (SeaLand Travel) We ended up joining the club for $8593 paying by credit card. When we got home we found of that Destinations Unlimited and Sealand Travel had many complaints and law suites a***nst them. BB rated F for Destinations Unlimited and D for SeaLand Travel. I also found out we overpaid for the service by about 8000 dollars. I called my credit company that night (14 Aug 2009)to cancel. They said I could not cancel, it was already posted. I e-mail the companies and told them I wanted to cancel. I called the companies and left messages that I wanted to cancel. On Sa****ay I sent the companies letters by certified mail, stating we wanted to cancel. I received an e-mail from Sealand travel say they had nothing to do with the contract, contact Destinations Unlimited. On Sa****ay I talked with a D.U. customer service rep.(In Colorado) he said I could not cancel because its in the contract. On Monday I received one to the letters back stating that the company had moved and the certified letter could not be delivered.(Web address in Colorado) I received the post office post card from Sealand travel that they received the cancellation letter. I haven't received the card from Destinations Unlimited in Gulf S****s. We feel that Destinations Unlimited used high-pressure sales tactics to mislead us about the travel services. The airline tickets , hotel accommodations, gasoline and $300 grocery coupons we were offered to attend a presentation were not free. We would have to pay $100 plus taxes and other fees. We found that the travel restrictions were so onerous that the trips are virtually impossible to schedule. We were promised travel value for pennies on the dollar and at the lowest prices for travel however, after doing a little research we found out that other customers discovered that they could have booked the same trips for approximately the same prices. The Club promises of significant discounts on cruises, air travel, hotels and ******iniums proved no better than competing travel companies' deals. We still do not have our Membership #They have used various names Royal Palm Travel, Bon Voyage, Suncountry, Horizon, Beachcomber, Castaway , Infinite Vacations according to my research.Missouri Attorney Generals web site has listed 12 complaints a***nst Destinations Unlimited and 2 a***nst SeaLand Travel.Texas Attorney General has charged Infiniti Vacations for Deceptive Trade PracticesDestinations Unlimited- Gulf S****s, Al. What is the "good deal"... No catches, so far? My mailing offered Food ertificates, prepaid gift cards, and the round trip airline tickets.... What company do they identify themselves as when you called?
Explain why why i follow your link and enter Tranquility Travel in the Complaints Board search box it comes up with "There are no complaints using term tranquility travel have been found". I don't work for them. I signed up and am resear****g before I fully agree to it all. So far I've found only 1 complaint string which is the shown on multiple websites. I'm not including the phone calls or mailings. Actual members complaining. If someone can give me proof that this is a scam, I'd love to know. So far it seems like a good deal for those who want to vacation but don't like timeshares. I'm still resear****g though.
